זוהי אולי הסיבה שמשחק הברידג’ מרתק אותנו כל כך :בתוך שניות ספורות ,נפילה צפויה של 4-5לקיחות יכולה להפוך לתוצאת שיא עם רווח של .IMP 10 להלן שתי ידיים מעניינות ביותר מהסיבוב הראשון של תחרות הזוגות המעורבים ,שגם בהן שיחק גורם המזל תפקיד לא קטן :במקרה הראשון דיווח לנו לוי שטרן על תוצאת שיא שהשיגו מתנגדיו: Dealer East, Vul None ♠ AJT ♥ A6 ♦ AKQJT875 ♣♠ Q2 ♠ K9874 ♥ Q9432 ♥ KT85 ♦♦ 632 ♣ T76532 ♣4 ♠ 653 ♥ J7 ♦ 94 ♣ AKQJ98 South ריזנברג East וקסמן North ארנון ♣1 ♣2 ♠5 Pass Pass Pass All Pass ♦1 4NT 7NT West שטרן Pass Dbl Pass מקובל לחשוב שסלמים עם שליט בטוחים יותר מסלמים ללא שליט ,ולכן לרוב מעדיפים אותם בתחרויות .IMP לעומת זאת בתחרויות טופ-בוטום מנסים לעתים קרובות סלם ללא שליט כדי לזכות בתוצאה גבוהה יותר במקרה שהסלם יבוצע .המעניין ביד הזאת הוא שדווקא הסלם ללא שליט בטוח יותר ,בעוד ♦ – 7הכרזה הגיונית לכאורה מבחינתו של צפון – היה סופג כישלון צורב בגלל חלוקת השליטים המונעת שימוש בסדרת הקלאב שבדומם לאחר הוצאת השליטים. לאחר שלושה סיבובי הכרזה צפון (גדי ארנון) ידע שלרשות שותפתו פתיחה עם 6קלאבים לפחות בראשות .AKQ 13לקיחות בטוחות כבר קיימות ,אבל כדי לבצע 7NT צריך גם כניסה לדומם .הקלפים המועמדים הם ♠K ,♥K ו .♦9-על מלכים אפשר לשאול ,אבל את מיקומו של ה♦9- אי אפשר לברר! גדי העדיף בצדק להמר ולקוות לתוצאה הגבוהה ביותר האפשרית ,משום שאם אין כניסה לדומם, יוכל להתבצע רק סלם בקלאב אם בכלל ,וגם את איכות הקלאבים מעבר ל AKQ-לא היה ניתן לברר. ה ♦9-הופיע במקום הנכון (היד הייתה משעשעת עוד יותר אם דרום מחזיק ♦6xוה ♦9-נופל בודד) והחוזה בוצע. היד הבאה דווחה על ידי לי רוזנטל שהפגין בהכרזה אומץ ראוי לשבח .אני חייב להודות שטרם נתקלתי בברידג’ במקרה ששחקן הכריז סלם בהתנדבות (ללא דחיפה מצד היריבים) וביצע אותו לאחר פתיחת 2NTחזקה של אחד ממתנגדיו. למען האמת ,רוב השחקנים “נותנים המון כבוד” להכרזת פתיחה של 2NTוחוששים להתערב אפילו בגובה .3 Dealer West, Vul None ♠ 875 ♥ KQJ763 ♦ A9 ♣ AQ3 ♠ T432 ♠ AKQJ96 ♥ T52 ♥ A ♦ 653 ♦ QT2 ♣ J74 ♣ KT6 ♠ ♥ 984 ♦ KJ874 ♣ 98532 South אילנה כליף East North לי רוזנטל West ♦3 ♥5 Pass ♠4 All Pass Dbl ♥4 !!♥6 !2NT ♠3 Pass ניתן אולי לחתוך את כל המפסידים בספייד ,בעוד הצלחתה של העקיפה בקלאב היא ודאית .לא ש 5♥-היה חוזה גרוע (ביצועו עם לקיחה עודפת היה מקנה לצפון-דרום ,)77% אבל לי היה צריך רק ♦Kמהשותפה בשביל סלם ,והוא החליט להמר .ההעזה השתלמה בהחלט :הקלף המבוקש הופיע בדומם ,ולאחר הובלה בספייד נחתכו כל 3הספיידים של צפון עם 12לקיחות קלות .גם הובלה בשליט לא הייתה מכשילה את החוזה :למערב אין אפשרות להמשיך בשליט. הכרוז חותך ♠ בדומם ,עוקף ב ,♣-משחק גם ,♣Aחותך ♠ שני ,חותך ♣ להגבהת בסדרה ,מוציא שליטים ונכנס לקלאבים המוגבהים עם ה.♦K- לאחר הידיים הפרועות האלה ,הנה הדגמה של טכניקה טובה מאת איתן אורנשטיין: JT532 T7 K86 AK4 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ East איתן אורנשטיין Pass ♠1 ♠4 Dealer East, Vul N/S ♠ 94 ♥ Q952 ♦ J53 ♣ QT95 ♠ AQ87 ♥ AJ86 ♦ A ♣ 8632 ♠ K6 ♥ K43 ♦ QT9742 ♣ J7 West נוגה יקים ♣1 ♠3 Pass ביצוע החוזה מובטח כמובן מלכתחילה ,אבל בתחרות טופ- בוטום כולנו מחפשים כמה שיותר לקיחות עודפות .ההובלה היתה בדיאמונד וה ♦A-זכה בדומם .המשחק הסטנדרטי בסדרת ההארט הוא להריץ ♥Tמהיד (עם תקווה לעקיפת חיתוך מאוחרת נגד צפון) ,אבל בשל מיעוט הכניסות לידו, איתן החליט להוביל הארט מהדומם (בתקווה שצפון ישגה ויקפוץ עם .)Kבמציאות דרום זכה ב ♥K-וכעת נראה כי אין מנוס מהפסד לקיחה ב.♣- אבל איתן חשב אחרת .הוא זכה בלקיחה הבאה עם ה,♣A- עקף בהצלחה בספייד וסיים את הוצאת השליטים בשני מערב הרגיש חזק מדי לפתיחה של ♠ 1והחליט “להשתעשע” סיבובים .כעת הוא שיחק ,♦K ,♣Kחתך דיאמונד ומשך את עם ( 2NTהוא לא היה היחיד בשדה שהכריז כך) .לי רוזנטל כל השליטים הנותרים .זה היה מצב הקלפים כאשר שוחק (צפון) הכפיל (החוזה נופל פעם אחת בלבד) ,אבל שותפתו השליט האחרון: הוציאה ל .3♦-כעת הכריזו מערב וצפון את סדרותיהם הארוכות וזכו לתמיכת שותפותיהן על אף הניקוד הדל. לי קרא נכון את המצב -לשותפתו חוסר בספייד! אם כך, 3 7 4 Q9 Q ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ AJ8 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠♥ 4 ♦ Q9 ♣כפי שאתם רואים ,צפון נקלע ללחץ בין סדרות הקלאב וההארט ,ואיתן השיג את הלקיחה ה 12-שעשתה את ההבדל בין 85%ל.43%- בסיבוב השני של התחרות צפיתי במשחקם של כמה מהזוגות המובילים .יש לציין כי האורחים הבכירים מחו”ל החלו להגיע לפסטיבל (חלק מהם מתחילים לשחק רק ביום שני)עם ייצוג נכבד למשלחת הפולנית בתחרות הזוגות המעורבים .הזוג פיוטר ולצ’אק-קטי בלדיש הגיע למקום השני .בעוד בוגדן שולייבסקי הגיע למקום השלישי בשיתוף פעולה עם ביאנקה גלז’בסקי מישראל .ביאנקה היא עד כה השחקנית הבולטת בפסטיבל לאחר שבתחרות הזוגות IMP זכתה במקום הראשון ביחד עם אבי חיות. הזוג יאן חודורובסקי-אירנה חודורובסקה הפגין הכרזה נאה ביד הבאה: ההצלחה הייתה כבירה .בחוזה של ( 1NTלאחר הובלה בקלאב) הכרוז יכול לברוח הביתה עם 6לקיחות מלמעלה, אבל ניסיון (לגיטימי) לבצע את החוזה בעזרת עקיפה בספייד יוביל לנפילה כבדה יותר. ב 2♥-הכרוז תמיד מסתדר ל 8-לקיחות בדרך זו או אחרת. על השולחן נלקחה הובלה ב ♣Q-על-ידי ה ♣A-של מערב והכרוז הפולני עקף בהמשך נגד ה ♣J-כדי להשיג לקיחה נוספת בסדרה .בהמשך הוא היה קרוב להשיג 9לקיחות, אך לבסוף לא הצליח להתגבר על חלוקת השליטים 4-1 והסתפק בביצוע ♥ 2בדיוק עם תוצאה של .84% זוג ישראלי שתמיד מועמד לאחד המקומות הראשונים בתחרות זו הוא דנה טל (שחקנית נבחרת הנשים) – מיכאל בראל (קפטן נבחרת הנשים) .צפיתי בהם לקראת סיום התחרות .הפיניש לא היה מספיק חזק ,והם נאלצו להסתפק במקום השישי .הנה יד טובה שלהם שבה הפגינה דנה איפוק ראוי לשבח בהכרזה. 98 AJ86 73 AJ632 Dealer East, Vul N/S K92 T543 Q942 Q6 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ AJ4 AKJ8 J86 K87 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ Q763 Q962 T3 T92 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ South חודורובסקה East Pass ♣2 Pass Pass All Pass North חודורובסקי 1NT ♥2 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ K76532 Q953 J5 4 T85 7 AK75 AJ543 ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ West ♣1 Pass צפון הכריז אוברקול טבעי של ,1NTודרום העדיפה לא להשאיר אותה בחוזה זה ,אלא להשתמש ברעיון המכונה garbage staymanעם 4-4בסדרות המייג’ור (על תשובה של ♦ 2היא הייתה מכריזה ♥ 2כדי שהשותף יבחר בין סדרות המייג’ור). אילן מצא את ההובלה הנכונה בקלאב שנחתך על-ידי צפון, ולא “מכר” את המשחק המלא המוכפל .בהמשך הכרוז שכח להוציא את השליט האחרון ונפל פעם שנייה ללא צורך ,אבל עדיין תוצאה של פלוס 300לצפון-דרום נראתה חיוורת לעומת מה שהיה יכול להיות בחוזה בספייד ,ובסוף היום התברר שהיא הייתה שווה רק .17% אז מה צריך כדי לזכות במקום הראשון בתחרות כזו? אם נחזור למה שנכתב בתחילת המאמר – קודם כל צריך מזל! לא רק בחלוקת הקלפים ,אלא גם במשחקם של היריבים. ניצחון בתחרות טופ-בוטום רבת משתתפים עובר בדרך כלל דרך ידיים שבהם המתנגדים עושים underbiddingאו ,overbiddingשוכחים להכפיל ,לא מדייקים במשחק היד ו/או מבצעים שגיאות גורליות בהגנה .כל אלה קרו במהלך אותו חלק של התחרות שבו צפיתי במשחקם של מנצחי התחרות. ידו של מיכאל לא התאימה בסיבוב הראשון ל 1♠-וגם לא ל ,2♠-אבל בסיבוב השני הוא החליט שאי אפשר לוותר. מזרח חשש שהכרזה של ♣ 3תתפרש לא נכון על-ידי שותפתו ,ולא התחרה הלאה .לידיעת השחקנים הנתקלים בבעיות במצבים מעין אלה :קיימת קונבנציה טובה בשם Good-Bad 2NTהמאפשרת להכריז 2NTבמכרז תחרותי שבו הגיעו היריבים לגובה 2כדי להודיע לשותף על רצון להתחרות לגובה ( 3אך לא להזמין למשחק מלא) ,בעוד הכרזה ישירה בגובה 3מתארת יד טובה יותר. הגענו לדרום – על אף התמיכה המעולה בספייד וריבוי הקונטרולים ,דנה זכרה ששותפה לא הכריז ♠ 1בסיבוב הראשון ,ולכן ידו אינה מספיק טובה כדי לאפשר משחק מלא. מזרח הוביל ב .♦7-מיכאל זכה בדומם ושיחק מיד הארט. מזרח המשיך ב ,♦3-והארט שני נמסר להגנה .ההמשך היה ב ♣A-ו ♣-שני שנחתך .מיכאל חתך הארט עם ה ♠J-והבין שניסיון לבצע 10לקיחות באמצעות חיתוך ההארט הרביעי עם ה ♠T-רק יסכן אותו .לאחר התלבטות רבה הוא בחר מובן מאליו ,שאי אפשר להצליח רק בזכות מזל .חברי הזוג להוציא שליטים עם ה .♠AK-לבסוף הוא נאלץ למסור לקיחה המנצח צריכים גם למצות את יכולתם ,להימנע משגיאות בלתי הכרחיות ,לעמוד במתח ולא “להיסחף” .ערן אסרף, שלישית בהארט עם תוצאה טובה מאוד של פלוס .140 זוג ישראלי בולט אחר ,אילן הרבסט-רוני בר ,לא הצליח שהפגין קור רוח רב ליד השולחן ,לא העריך בסיום התחרות הפעם לאיים על המקומות הראשונים .משחקם לא היה יציב שהתוצאה שהושגה תספיק למקום הראשון ,אבל לאחר חישוב התוצאות התברר כי אף זוג לא עבר אותם .לסיום כאשר “טופים” ,2או אפילו ♥ ,2בהתאם לידו של דרום .אבל בטופ-בוטום נטייתם של שחקנים רבים היא להעדיף חוזים ב .NT-במקרה שלנו ♦ 2ניתן לביצוע עם לקיחה עודפת אם ננחש נכון בשליט ,אבל 1NTחסר סיכוי לאחר הובלה טבעית בקלאב. מזרח-מערב הכריזו לפי שיטת 2♣ .Precisionהראה אורך בקלאב עם 15-11נקודות ,ו 2♦-הייתה הכרזת שאלה במגמה למצוא התאמה במייג’ור .הטעות של מערב הייתה בהכרזת ♣ .4לדעתי ,נדרש דמיון מפותח כדי לראות חוזה מבוצע של ♣ 5מול יד טיפוסית של 15-13נקודות .על מערב היה להתחשב בכך שה ♦Q-שלה חסרת ערך לנוכח הDbl- של צפון על ♦( .2נכון ,אם למזרח משהו כמו Axx/Ax/xx/ AQxxxxיש ♣ 5מלמעלה ,אבל עם יד כה טובה הוא היה אולי מוצא הכרזה שונה מ.)3♣- מערב העדיפה להוביל בסדרת השותף – ♥9החלטה מפוקפקת היות שמזרח לא הבטיח יותר מ 4-הארטים זוטרים ,ובכל מקרה הכוח של דרום בסדרה זו “יושב אחריו” .ערן שיחק נמוך מהדומם וזכה בידו עם ה ♥A-כדי לא להסגיר את המצב בסדרה .כעת הוא שיחק ♦Aולא ניחש בסיבוב השני של הסדרה :ה ♦Q-הפסידה ל .♦K-מזרח המשיך ב ♣Q-שכוסה עם ה K-וה .A-חזרה פשוטה של מערב בקלאב הייתה מכריחה את הכרוז למשוך 6לקיחות מהירות כדי ליפול Monday’s tournament attracted 59 teams, including all of Israel’s top players and several strong squads from abroad. The idea is a team tournament with matchpoint scoring rather than IMPs. You get 2 points for winning a board and 1 point for tying it. The amount of difference in total points does not matter. Thus an extra overtrick in a modest 1NT contract is no less important than accurately bidding a big slam hand. Everything counts. The struggle for the top prizes was very tight. Only three points separated the top six teams. Last year winner’s Aida Minzli’s team with Efrat OrenEhud Friedlander-Inon Liran-Ron SchwartzLotan Fisher were somewhat unlucky to finish sixth with a score of 60 (out of 96).
