Middle School Summer Camp includes programs where children learn about the environment, technology, science, philanthropy, read books and act out skits and are physically active. Our well-trained and expert staff encourages every child to explore while creating fun and exciting memories that can be lifetime childhood investments. They are role models. They exemplify the YMCA’s core values of caring, honestly, respect, responsibility, faith, empathy and integrity. Staff members are carefully screened, well trained and fully prepared to help each and every camper make priceless summer memories. Because of our small staff-to-camper ratio, our staff members are able to form close bonds with our campers. Our program and camp directors are seasoned professionals with decades of experience in camp administration. DATES WHAT TO BRING It is important that your child comes to camp after having received a good night’s sleep as well as a healthy breakfast in order to ensure for a fun, safe and energetic day. Our staff wants your child to get the most out of what our camp has to offer. Campers should be dressed in comfortable clothing, including close toed shoes. CAMPERS We welcome all Orange County Middle School Students Including incoming 6th Graders and all current 6th, 7th and 8th graders COST $45 per week $10 Non refundable registration Fee SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP ADVENTURE TRACKS Each week campers will be able to choose to participate in one of our adventure tracks. In addition to the excitement of the adventure tracks campers will have true camp experience of tradition activities. SPORTS Always wanted to play a sport? Learn to play a variety of team sports including: basketball, soccer and football. What a great way to spend the summer! ROCKETS AND ROBOTS Build and launch rockets, racecars and even robots during this track of handson fun. CHEF EXPRESS Culinary artists will love designing and preparing the latest recipes in this delicious track … not to mention tasting them! “Bon Appetit!” MEDIA FRENZY “Action!” During this adventure track, you’ll produce a movie, shoot digital photography or, “Stop the presses!” publish a newspaper. ARTS ACADEMY Explore your inner Picasso with a track of drawing, painting, sculpture and more. Come prepared to let your creative juices flow. EXTREME ADVENTURES Adventure seekers, this track is for you! With a variety of adventure-packed activities like learning how to survive in the wilderness, rock climb and build water rockets, you’ll never want to leave. MUSIC FACTORY If you love the spotlight, then you’ll love this track of chorus, band, dance and other performing arts. The track ends as you take the stage for the End of the Summer Showcase.
