AU680 Sample Rack Usage AU680 Racks Racks are identified by a rack barcode label. The barcode label identifies the type of sample (serum, urine, other-1, other-2 or whole blood) designated for that rack. Sample racks are configured in the AU software. Racks are available in multiple colors to assist the operator in determining rack function. Rack function is identified by the system by the placement of magnets on the bottom of the rack. Reagent Blanks (Blue) • Use any validated container to place DI Water in position 1 Calibration (Yellow) • Multiple racks may be required for multiple chemistries • Use any validated container for calibrators Quality Control (Green) • Multiple racks may be required • Use any validated container for QC material Note: Calibrators and QC may be barcoded or assigned to a rack and position.
