Always check compatibility with other products prior to use. Nutra-KS is a chlorine-free, clear liquid solution. It may be applied to a wide variety of ornamental, turf, greenhouse and agriculture crops and is intended for use where both potassium and sulfur application are required. Small amounts can be used for starter and foliar applications. Nutra-KS may be used alone or blended with compatible fertilizer solutions to build custom grades of fluid fertilizer. Nutra-KS may be applied through all types of irrigation systems. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Soil Applied Pop-Up Fertilizer (Seed Furrow): Corn, cotton, small grains, tomatoes and other small seeded crops. Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre of Nutra-KS by itself or blended with other liquid pop-up fertilizers. The use of a “Y-Splitter” is recommended. Starter Fertilizer (2x2 Placement): Apply 1 to 4 gallons per acre of Nutra-KS by itself or with other liquid fertilizers at least 2 inches to the side and 2 inches below the seed furrow. Sidedress: Nutra-KS may be surface banded or knife injected as a source of potassium and sulfur. Rates may vary depending on crop needs and soil tests. Foliar Application Contact your dealer for foliar application to crops not listed below. NutraKS may applied by both ground and aerial methods. It is recommended that the addition of 2 to 4 quarts of Nutra-Flo Super 72 (28-0-0) Slow Release Nitrogen be applied with Nutra-KS to improve absorption. Alfalfa: 4 to 6 quarts/acre at crown green up or on regrowth after cutting. Canola: 8 to 10 quarts/acre at bolting. Cotton: Foliar apply 4 to 6 quarts/acre beginning from the 1st through to the 4th week of bloom. Peas and Lentils: 2 to 4 quarts/acre during late bud to 10% bloom. Potatoes: 4 to 6 quarts/acre beginning at tuber initiation. Apply second treatment at golf ball size and third treatment at tuber bulking. Apples, Apricots, Almonds, Citrus, Pecans: 2 to 6 quarts/acre in a minimum of 100 gallons of water spray solution. Begin application at first full leaf and apply as needed during the growing season. For concentrated sprays of less than 100 gallon/acre, reduce the rate of Nutra-KS to maintain the recommended solution ratio (i.e., 1 to 3 quarts of Nutra-KS per acre in 50 gallons of water per acre. Vinifera Vines: 2 to 4 quarts/acre in a minimum of 50 gallons of water beginning two weeks after bloom. Repeat in 7 to 10 days. Do not foliar apply to Concord grapes. Turf: Where potassium is needed apply ¼ to 1 pound of potash (11 to 43 ounces Nutra-KS) in 1½ to 4 gallons spray solution/1000 square feet. Apply 4 to 6 applications at 8 to 12 week intervals totaling 1¼ to 6 pounds of potash/1000 square feet per year. Begin application at first green up and continue throughout the season as needed. Apply with ¼ to 1 pound nitrogen (10 to 43 ounces) supplied from Super 72 Slow Release Nitrogen per 1000 square feet to aid nutrient absorption. Recommendations listed above are only for Nutra-KS and Super 72 application. The addition of other products to the spray mix is the responsibility of the applicator. Fertigation Flood & Furrow: Trees and Vines: Apply 10 to 15 gallons of Nutra-KS/acre per application beginning at full leaf. Vegetable and Row Crops: Apply 10 – 15 gallons of Nutra-KS per acre/ application depending on need. A second application may be needed. Sprinkler: Vines and Trees (Overhead): Apply 3 to 5 gallons/acre/application every 10 to 14 days based on crop requirements. Vegetable and Row Crops: Beginning at the 3rd to 4th leaf stage, apply 3 to 5 gallons/acre/application every 7 to 10 days based on crop need. Drip Irrigation Young Trees: 3 to 5 gallons/acre during the season when roots are actively growing. Mature Trees: 5 to 10 gallons/acre/application. Vines: Application can be made anytime through the growing period. Potassium requirement is highest at the beginning and through fruit development. Mature Vines: apply 5 to 10 gallons/acre or as determined by tissue analysis. Young Vines: 3 to 5 gallons/acre. Vegetable and Row Crops: 3 to 5 gallons/acre/ application 2 to 4 times during the growing season. Turf: Inject 11 to 22 fluid ounces (¼ to ½ pound of potash) of NutraKS per 1000 square feet each application. Use lower rate for frequent irrigations. Manufactured by Nutra-Flo® Company • 200 South Derby Lane • North Sioux City, SD 57049 USA • Ph: 800-831-4815 • www.PureGrade.com Mixing Instructions Nutra-KS disperses well in water and fertilizer solutions with a minimum of agitation. Nutra-KS is compatible with urea and ammonium polyphosphate solutions in any ratio. Nutra-KS is compatible with NPK solutions high in orthophosphate. When mixing Nutra-KS with UAN solution, a jar test is recommended. Potassium reacts with nitrate to form potassium nitrate crystals. The addition of water and/or heat should bring it back to a clear solution. Mixing Instructions: 1.Partially fill tank with water or fertilizer. Begin agitation. 2.Add fertilizer to circulating tank mix. 3.Add other chemicals or nutrients if compatible. 4.Fill tank and agitate thoroughly. Caution Statements •Do not foliar apply Nutra-KS to crops sensitive to sulfur foliar burn. •Do not foliar apply Nutra-KS to any crop when temperatures are above 90 °F. •Keep agitators running when mixing and spraying with pesticides to avoid separation of products and uneven spray distribution. •Many crops are sensitive to salts during germination. When soil moisture is low, delayed crop emergence and/or phytotoxicity may occur when fertilizer is placed too close to the seed. Do not apply Nutra-KS in the seed furrow when soil moisture is limited, soil salinity is above an electrical conductivity of 1 or when irrigation is delayed such that germination may be effected. •Do not apply Nutra-KS with injecting equipment that may cause root pruning. •Sprinkler application of Nutra-KS and other liquid fertilizers over an established crop may cause foliar injury to a crop if the injection period is short enough to cause an excessive amount of fertilizer to accumulate on the leaves, temperatures are above 90oF and humidity is less than 30%, fertilizer rates are higher than recommended, irrigation pump breaks down during or immediately after injecting fertilizer, and/or any combination of these factors. •Crop injury may result from unusual weather conditions. Failure to follow label instructions or improper application practices all of which are out of the control of the manufacture or seller. The instructions on this label should be followed carefully. •Do not apply Nutra-KS with crop oil sprays. Allow at least 10 days before or after crop oil application before applying Nutra-KS as a foliar. •Do not apply Nutra-KS or other thiosulfate fertilizers while chlorinating an irrigation system. Thiosulfates will neutralize the chlorine. •Do not mix Nutra-KS with acid or acidic fertilizers below a pH of 6.0. Nutra-KS will decompose. •Do not use high pressure sprays (greater than 60 psi) when applying Nutra-KS over the top of a crop. •Do not foliar apply Nutra-KS to Concord grapes. WARNING!
