Optional Events / Excursions

The following events are suited for Teens Adventure students, and are just some of
the possibilities that can be taken up in their free time. The events are against
payment, prices NET to NSTS as sold to students in Malta.
Should a GROUP of students want to book such events in advance this is also
possible. Kids Camp students may also participate in the same events against
payment.
Sightseeing Harbour Cruise
Join us on a Harbour Cruise and witness Malta’s living past as we cruise around Malta
within the two natural harbours on either side of Valletta – Marsamxetto Harbour
and the Grand Harbour. A detailed commentary will unfold the history of Valletta and
the Three Cities connected with the two Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942, as well as all
the other places of interest including the historical forts, battlements and
commentary. We cruise into every creek showing you the closest possible views.
Animateurs add to the fun with sing-alongs and guitar playing after the Harbour
Cruise.

FD Gozo
As you enjoy your stay in Malta, one cannot miss this fantastic full day outing to Gozo
which is only a thirty minute ferry crossing away. As soon as we set foot in the pretty
Gozitan port of Mgarr we will notice that although both islands are similar in history
and development, Gozo has a character entirely of its own. We can see that Gozo has
its hilly landscape and picturesque countryside, making it an island full of charm
waiting to be discovered. In this excursion we visit all popular landmarks of Gozo such
as; the well-known Azure Window at Dwejra, the Citadel, the Capital Victoria, a stop
for a break and finally end our day swimming or relaxing at the red sandy beach
(Ramla l-Hamra Beach).

We visit the Island of Comino as we take a speedboat ride from the north of the
Island (Cirkewwa / Marfa) to the well-known Blue Lagoon. Here you can spend time
exploring the Island, or swimming and snorkelling in the clear waters. On your return
to Malta you shall explore the caves of Comino with speedboat tour.

Full Day Hera Exclusive on board M/S Hera
Departing from Sliema Ferries due south, this wonderful, relaxing full day cruise
showcases the spectacle that is the Maltese coastline. We cruise close to shore,
catching glimpses of Hassan’s cave, Pretty Bay, the impressive cliffs at Dingli that offer
spectacular views of Malta’s untouched beauty and a change to see the breeding
ground of the Blue Rock Thrush (Malta’s National Bird), to mention but a few of the
great vistas you will experience during this trip. In the early afternoon we head to the
famous Blue Lagoon where our yacht will berth in order to allow you easy access to
the Island of Comino. Here you can spend time exploring the island or swimming in
the tranquil turquoise water. At lunch time a moth-watering lunch served with wine,
water and soft drinks, are all included in the trip. Later in the afternoon we travel to
one of the secluded bays in Gozo, you can choose to take a refreshing dip in the
crystal clear sea, snorkel around the rugged coastline or simply lay back and relax and
take in the sun from our spacious decks. On our way back we travel down the eastern
urban coast and head towards the spectacular Grand Harbour. Our trip ends back in
Sliema.

Mediterraneo Bio Park & Animal Show
The Mediterraneo Bio Park is a great way for you to understand more about the
marine life and its inhabitants through edutainment. Accompanied by our
animateurs, you will spend a fantastic and unforgettable time at the Marine park
where you can also opt to swim with dolphins (additional charge), and see exotic
birds, sea lions, reptiles and more. The animal show includes dolphin, parrot and sealion presentations, and you will visit the reptile section housing snakes, tortoises,
turtles, frogs, toads, spiders, scorpions and lizards.

Junior Boat Party
Dubbed to be the best party on the Island, the Hera Boat Party is one event which is a
must. The cruise sails out of port towards Comino. Local DJ and animateur
entertainment is provided on board, along with soft-drinks, water, fresh fruit and a
light snack. As the night takes over from the day, the music gets louder, animateurs
organise dance competitions and the party is pumping all the way back to Sliema.

Arrival at Pozzallo – a typical Sicilian fishing village, gradually regaining its role
as the main port of the province of Ragusa.
Departure in air-conditioned luxury coaches, accompanied by guide.
Departure for Taormina. On the way we pass by ISPICA, a baroque town
rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake. ROSOLINI, a typical rural town dated back
to Roman times, surrounded by orange and lemon groves. SIRACUSA, the
home tome of Archimedes and home to the world famous archaeological
zone and the University City of CATANIA, a thriving commercial centre.
TAORMINA: Free time in Taormina centre to enjoy the unique panoramic
view overlooking Giardini Naxos, a former Greek colony, now an international
yachting centre. Time for lunch (not included in the price).
On the way to Mt. Etna we stop to sample some typical Sicilian delicacies,
including wines / cheeses / almond sweets and honey; these Sicilian
specialities are for sale (no obligation to buy).

Carting Sessions & Mdina by Night
Sign up for one of these Karting Sessions as we head to Ta’ Qali. This only local
raceway has a fleet of 30 petrol-driven karts, with a combination of twists and turns
offering 17 different track layouts and delivering a perfect blend of thrill and
adrenaline. You may join the Arrive & Drive Session of 30mins. This event is also open
for those who do not want to participate and want to simply relax and enjoy other
people racing on the track. A clubhouse is available with a cafeteria offering hot and
cold snacks and variety of drinks. The event continues in Mdina with a walk and
stopping for optional chocolate cake at Fontanella Tea Gardens.

International Disco Party
Experience the Maltese clubbing scene and participate in teenagers student parties.
These well-attended disco sessions offer the best music within a supervised
environment at the most popular clubs on the Island. Dance the night away, follow
animation organised by animateurs and get a place to perform on stage, as you show
your dancing skills whilst meeting students from different nationalities. Other parties
include special themes such as: Hawaiian Night, 80s Night, Sunglasses party, wear
black or white, foam parties, etc …
