One day a magical
invitation arrived at
the Little Castle.
“Please come and visit
Granny and Grandpapa Thistle
at their castle in the clouds,”
sang the invitation.
“Oh dear,” grumbled King
Thistle. “Visiting my parents is
always a bit of a worry.”
“Yes,” agreed Queen Thistle.
“They do like to use magic a
bit too much.”
Holly and the twins were
very excited. Ben and the
Wise Old Elf were invited too.
“I love going to visit Granny
and Grandpapa’s castle. It’s so
much fun,” giggled Holly.
“But how do we get to a
castle in the clouds?” asked Ben.
“Ah,” sighed King Thistle. “We
will have to get the magic bus.”
“Wow!” exclaimed Ben.
“Oh no!” gasped the Wise
Old Elf.
“I don’t like magic buses.
Magic always leads to trouble.”
Everyone climbed aboard the
bus and with a whoosh it lifted
up into the air.
“Arghh!” yelled the
Wise Old Elf.
As quickly as it
started, the bus stopped.
It dropped down on to the
clouds beside a big castle.
“Welcome,”
declared Granny
Thistle. “Come
inside and have some tea.”
Inside the magical castle
there was a rainbow instead of a
staircase and a room full of fish
floating in the air.
“This is so brilliant,”
exclaimed Ben as they found a
tree growing shoes.
