The Single Rack Scanner (mvs) is
the ideal solution for manual reading
racks filled with 2D Tracker DataMatrix or TraXis coded tubes within
15 seconds. The software is easy to
use and gives a reliable decoding of
the 2D codes (Tracker Data-Matrix
or TraXis) on the bottom of storage
tubes.
The Micronic Single Rack Scanner
software is easy to install and gives
reliable readings of the 2D codes
and a smooth integration into any
laboratory samples database.
The software includes a feature that
when decoding a rack with 2D coded
tubes a distinction can be made
between those 2D codes that are not
recognised and those tubes that are
not in place. This can be crucial for
determining whether any samples
are missing. This feature can be vital
for a reliable sample logistic system.
The entire rack filled with 2D coded
tubes can be read in less than 15
seconds and generates a text file
(CSV) containing a list with 96 tube
codes. This text file can be
interfaced with a database.
Additionally, the software provides
the functionality to generate an
overview of the 2D codes in an
Excel sheet in a row or in a 12x8
format (SBS footprint).
With the optional 1D handheld
barcode reader, the rack barcode
can be read. The Micronic software
automatically transfers the rack ID
into the filename of the text file.

The Single Tube Reader brings
affordable 2D code decoding to your
bench top. The compact and robust
design of this reader makes it easy
to use it in your lab.
The Single Tube Reader reads 2D
Tracker Data-Matrix and TraXis
codes within 1 second, in which the
data can be sent to multiple
applications. Linking the 2D code to
a spreadsheet, database or text file
(CSV) is possible because of the
easy and flexible software provided
with the reader.
Simply move a tube with a 2D
Tracker Data-Matrix or TraXis code
over the scanning window and the
barcode is decoded instantly.
The reader is fully compatible with
other brands of Data-Matrix coded
storage tubes (8x12 format), and is
also compatible with other sizes of
Data-Matrix that are used on larger
volume tubes, such as: cryo-vials,
glass tubes and biological sample
tubes.
An ActiveX toolkit is available to
assist laboratories with robotics and
LIMS integration.
Due to the small size of the Single
tube reader it will fit in most robotic
platforms, such as liquid handling
systems and storage systems.
The decoding process of the 2D
code is highly reliable due to the
sophisticated decoding engine, in

The Micronic Manual Capmat Sealer
guarantees an equal sealing of plug

tubes

requires no installation and is simple
to operate.
The Manual Capmat Sealer can be
used to seal any TPE cap on the
Micronic Roborack-96, Loborack-96
and Comorack-96. Using racks with
an SBS-footprint minimises the
storage space of your samples.
Standard for 1.40ml tubes in all
configurations
like:
non-coded,
Alphanumeric coded and 2D coded
(Tracker Data-Matrix and TraXis).
For different sizes in a 96-well
configuration, adapter blocks are
required for height adjustment. For
the 0.50ml and 0.75ml tubes, we
offer another type of Manual
Capmat Sealer to guarantee easy
capping.
The
Micronic
Capmats
and
Capclusters are recommended for
the sealing of your valuable
samples.
The Capmat exists out of a retaining
film that holds 96 fixed TPE caps for
sealing 96 tubes in a rack.
The Capcluster enables you to seal
96 tubes as easily as applying a
Capmat, simply by removing the
retaining film in order to leave each
tube individually capped.

robustness

to cap both full and partially-full racks

controlled pressure system that caps

With the ever-growing requirement
for higher sample throughput in
many laboratories the new Micronic
Automatic
Decapper
enables
significant productivity gains to be
made in the opening of multiple
sample storage tubes.
Easy to install and operate the
Automatic Decapper removes and
disposes the caps from a full 96-tube
rack in less than 15 seconds.
Operation is safe and user friendly simply place a rack of capped tubes
onto the access tray, push the start
button and the Auto Decapper will in
one action gently remove all the
caps.
The internal cap grippers are
developed in such a way that cross
contamination is minimized. The
gripper slightly moves down into the
cap while the rack in the sleigh is
moving backwards, ensuring a
smooth and save removal of the
caps. The integrated cap disposal
device ensures that caps are not
reused.
The Auto Decapper increase
productivity and can be used as a
stand-alone instrument or can be
assimilated into a fully automated
environment.
The Micronic Automatic Decapper is
compatible with all Micronic coded
tube racks and capping products but
also with other tubes and caps of
other brands. Through a friendly
user interface the user chooses the
correct rack to decap, without using
different adapters.
For maintenance the Decapper
features an Ethernet connection

The
Tubesorter
automates
transferring tubes between multiple
96 tube racks and is available with

tube
management
system supports sorting of a nearly

a time. For projects over 1,920
tubes, the tube racks can be
exchanged dynamically.
Intuitive Software
The Work List Manager software
processes user work lists in order to
sort, scan, and weigh tubes. The
software guides the rack loading, in
turn allowing for the quick setup of
complex tube sorting projects. Work
lists of over 9 or 20 racks are
managed dynamically for the
efficient processing of large
projects.
The work list progress and tube scan
results are clearly displayed in realtime. The log files monitor the
tracking location, scanned image,
tube weight, and 2D code (Tracker
Data-Matrix or TraXis) information for
each tube that is processed.
2D Reader and Analytical Balance
The options include an integrated
singe tube 2D reader to decode 2D
Tracker Data-Matrix or TraXis coded
tubes and an analytical balance for
weighing tubes. The 2D scanner
provides
in-process
tube
identification in order to confirm the
movement of 2D tubes. The
analytical balance provides for the
automatic weighing of each tube at
0.0001g readability.

DO YOU NEED TO DETERMINE THE VOLUME OF YOUR SAMPLES? IF SO,
THE VOLUMECHECK ALLOWS FOR A NON-CONTACT INSPECTION FOR
THE SAMPLE VOLUME IN A VARIETY OF LABWARE: PLATES AS WELL AS
TEST TUBES. BY USING ACOUSTIC SENSOR TECHNOLOGY,
VOLUMECHECK DETERMINES THE SAMPLE VOLUME IN A WELL OR
TUBE.
The VolumeCheck determines the
sample volume in a well or tube
inside a SBS standard rack or
plate by using a non-contact
acoustic signal. The wells must be
uncapped or unsealed.
The
VolumeCheck
is
fully
compatible with a range of
Micronic tubes: 0.50ml, 0.75ml,
1.10ml and 1.40ml in any storage
rack. Furthermore, other labware,
such as storage plates, blocks or
tubes in racks in a 24, 48 and 96
well or tube format can be
measured.
The sample volume is derived
from
the
acoustic
sample
measurement and a calibration
plot is generated with the
previously
collected
volume
measurements.
The
VolumeCheck's software allows for
the quick scanning of a well plate
or tube rack and graphically
displays the sample volume of
each well on the plate.
Volume data is associated with the well
plate ID and well position, and then
saved.
The software includes a calibration plot
utility to collect sensor and volume
data for a variety of labware. Optional
ActiveX control software is available for
LIMS and lab automation integration.
VolumeCheck operation requires the
placing of a well plate or tube rack on
the VolumeCheck’s input tray. The
input tray is retracted into the Volume
Check and then the volume scanning
is completed in approx. one minute.

What is keyboard wedge?
A keyboard wedge is an interface which allows a non-keyboard device to
plug into a computer as though it were sending keyboard data. Since most
data-entry software is set up to take data from a keyboard, it is necessary
to use a keyboard wedge if you want to plug in a peripheral such as a
barcode scanner and have it send information to the program. A keyboard
wedge is so called because the physical version "wedges" between the
keyboard and the computer. The keyboard is plugged into the wedge,
which in turn is plugged into the computer, so that data may be inputted
through either the keyboard or the other peripheral.

The tip of the TubeWriter’s ink pen
directly contacts the plastic surface
of your labware. Nothing else slows
down an experiment like handwriting tubes or peel and sticking
labels.
There are absolutely no adhesives,
labels or stickers. Because the ink is
the same laboratory-ready ink you
currently use, the writing does not
come off in boiling water, liquid
nitrogen, alcohol, xylene or most
other lab environments.
Direct printing is achieved by our
patent-pending
robotics
which
conform the writing to the curved or
flat surfaces of your labware.
There is no software to install for
using the TubeWriter. Enter your text
into Microsoft Excel. Go ahead and
use any formulas or copy functions.
Press “Load Spreadsheet” and then
press “Print Tubes”. The TubeWriter
starts
printing.

The MX4 Sort and Scan is a work
list based robot which presents a
storage tube for picking by pushing it
up from below. The tube presenting
pin is built on an X-Y axis and driven
by work list commands to move the
tube presenting pin to the specified
tube.
The software interface guides the
operator to pick a tube from up to
four source racks and place tubes in
one destination rack.
The destination rack position has a
full rack scanner below the position
which
confirms
sample
tube
handling and the scanner provides a
final output file (.csv) of the rack.

The SampleScan Mini brings
affordable 2D code decoding to your
bench top. The SampleScan Mini
offers a small footprint along with
scan and decode times of less than
5 seconds per rack.
The reader is fully compatible with all
SBS standard storage racks, which
enables the reading of 24, 48, 96
and even 384 formats. The
SampleScan Mini is fully compatible
with Micronic 2D Tracker DataMatrix code and other competitive
brands. Moreover, it includes a
single tube decode feature, which
can read a single tube within 5
seconds.
The software provides seamless
communication with most of the
database systems that are used for
samples storage systems, including
most standard output file options. An
ActiveX toolkit is optionally available
to assist laboratories with robotics
