Worker of the Year”
award. Angel is a hard
worker who loves people
and always keeps a positive attitude. Angel
devotes her heart and
energy into making a difference in other people’s

nominees are selected by directors, managers and supervisors of
HVCH and then voted on by all HVCH employees.
Sign Up Today for 5K Race
The Annual HVCH Wellness 5K
race is Saturday June 15th at 9:00
am, at the Hocking Co. Fairgrounds.
Volunteers are still needed to help
with the race. Volunteers need to be
there by 7:30 am. If you would like
to run or walk in the race, the entry
fee of $15.00, can be payroll
deducted until June 12. After June
12th, the entry fee will be $20.00. The race will go through downtown
Logan. Call Danielle Arnett at x8298 to sign up or for more details.

HVCH Joins New
Health Insurance
Consortium
Ohio PPO Connect will be our
new insurance network and CVS
Caremark will be our new pharmacy benefit manager as of July
1st, 2013. We will also be changing from UMR to EBMC as our
third party administrator.
There will be no changes in plan
coverage for the remainder of
2013.
Employees are reminded to get
mail-order prescriptions refilled
now because a new MD order
will be required after July 1st.
Look for new ID cards by July
1st. If you have any questions,

Ball drop tickets are now being
sold for the Foundation Golf
Tournament which will take place
on July 20th, at the Brass Ring
Golf Club. A total of 600 balls will
be dropped in the area of #8
green. The club-pro will hit a ball
into the mix, and the person’s
ball closest to the pro’s ball will
win $1,000. Tickets are $10.00

Chamber “Breakfast
Before Hours”
Many community members attended the
recent “Breakfast Before Hours” in the HVCH
Pain Management Clilnic.
HVCH recently hosted a
Chamber of Commerce
“Breakfast Before Hours” in the
new Pain Management Clinic.
Surgery Director, Tara Jacobs,
and the Pain Management Clinic
staff, were on hand to meet
Chamber members and answer
questions. James Bernholtz read
a proclamation from the State
Treasurer’s office. The proclamation said, in part, “The expansion
of Hocking Valley Community
Hospital’s Pain Management
Clinic will further it’s mission of
providing quality care and services to the community and those
patients suffering from chronic
pain. The Pain Management
Clinic is to be commended for it’s
partnership with local drug task
forces in reducing drug abuse
while also providing utmost care
for its residents. Furthermore,
the Pain Management Clinic will
be valuable in attracting new
businesses through its state-ofart medical facilities and services.”

Employee Service Awards Given at Dinner
The 2013 HVCH Employee Recognition Dinner was held recently at
the Olde Dutch Restaurant. The dinner was held to recognize HVCH
employees and thank them for their hard work, dedication, and years
of service.
About 70 employees and members of the Board of Directors, attended the annual event, where awards were given for years of service
milestones. Bob Schmidt, Human Resources Director, was the emcee
for the evening. The Logan-Hocking High School Jazz Band provided
wonderful entertainment.
