Ground Equipment: Mix ½ to 1 quart (1.4 to 2.8 pounds) per acre with a minimum of 20 gallons of water per acre and spray onto crop foliage. For orchards and other tree crops use at least 100 gallons per acre of water. Nulex EDTA 9 Zinc is intended for the prevention and/or correction of zinc deficiencies in plants. Air: Mix ½ to 1 quart (1.4 to 2.8 pounds) with a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. For orchards and other tree crops use at least 10 gallons per acre of water. Nulex EDTA 9 Zinc can be applied alone, blended with liquid nitrogen solutions or with liquid starter fertilizers including those made with orthophosphate and/ or containing pesticides. More than one foliar application may be needed for severe deficiencies. Nulex EDTA 9 Zinc can be applied to most field, vegetable and tree crops. Nulex EDTA 9 Zinc can be applied to the soil or crop foliage as a foliar spray. Always test for compatibility. Mixing Instructions Check compatibility before mixing. 1. Put 1/3 of fertilizer or water into tank. 2. Add correct amount of Nulex EDTA 9 Zinc. 3. Fill tank with balance of fertilizer or water. 4. Add other chemicals, if any. 5. Agitate to mix, continue agitation during application. Soil Application Seed Furrow (Row): Apply ½ to 1 quart (1.4 to 2.8 pounds) per acre during planting with small amounts of liquid starter fertilizer (if the fertilizer is labeled for row placement on the target crop) or dilute with 3 to 5 gallons/acre of water for uniform application. Seed furrow (row) recommendation is intended to supply a starter level of zinc to young seedlings. Additional zinc may be needed to correct deficiencies. Band or Strip-Till: Apply 2 to 4 quarts (5.5 to 11 pounds) per acre with water or liquid fertilizer. Broadcast: Apply 4 to 8 quarts (11 to 22 pounds) per acre before planting and incorporate into the upper 3 to 5 inches of soil. Use of a surfactant may enhance leaf coverage and increase nutrient absorption. Do not apply when the crop is excessively stressed for moisture or during periods of high temperatures. For best results use the lowest possible volume for thorough coverage and a small droplet size. Optimum foliar application conditions for most crops generally occur during early morning or late evening hours. Foliar fertilization can be an effective remedy for diagnosed plant deficiencies of secondary nutrients and micronutrients, but may cause plant damage if applied at more than recommended rates or concentrations. Use of this product is recommended only as a supplement to a regular fertilization program and only on plants with confirmed secondary nutrient or micronutrient deficiencies.
