If you want to install FW 3.02.04 on a modem with release 3.02.01/02/03, 3.01.01, 3.00.00/01/02, 2.03.02, 2.02.00, 2.01.01 or 2.00.00 use the following steps. Place the new image (SZ.868.A1-3.02.04.uImage file) on a TFTP or HTTP server. If required, use the cm.setup command as described in [1] to perform the initial setup of the EFM-Plugin as needed to connect to the TFTP or HTTP server. Then use the following CLI command to update the modem. firmware update <url> where <url> would be something like tftp://TFTP-SERVERNAME/FW-DIR/SZ.868.A1-3.02.04.uImage or http://HTTP-SERVERNAME/FW-DIR/SZ.868.A1-3.02.04.uImage If you want to install FW 3.02.04 on a modem with release 1.03.00,1.02.01 or 1.01.00 use the following steps. Place the new image (SZ.868.A13.02.04.uImage file) on a TFTP or HTTP server. If required, use the cm.setup command as described in [1] to perform the initial setup of the EFM-Plugin as needed to connect to the TFTP or HTTP server. Then use SNMP to update the modem. snmpset localhost watsonFirmwareUpdateURI.0 \ ='tftp://TFTP-SERVERNAME/FW-DIR/SZ.868.A1-3.02.04.uImage' \ watsonFirmwareUpdateCommand.0 = update. or snmpset localhost watsonFirmwareUpdateURI.0 \ ='http://HTTP-SERVERNAME/FW-DIR/SZ.868.A1-3.02.04.uImage' \ watsonFirmwareUpdateCommand.0 = update. In the instructions given above the server name TFTP-SERVERNAME resp. HTTP-SERVERNAME and the directory FW-DIR is used. Replace this with the server name and directory used by your IT system. Revision: 2014-06-18 2-13 Watson SHDSL EFM Plug-in Release Notes Watson-EFM-Plugin-Release-Notes.doc Version 14.00-00 During the update the Operator Console access to the modem is not possible.
