ELIGIBILITY
U.S. & foreign born players: ITF age rules apply.
 16 & under – Born in 1998 or 1999
 14 & under – Born in 2000 or 2001
 12 & under – Born in 2002 or later
For 18’s ITF, you must have an IPIN number in order to register for the event. Entry to 18s is on the ITF Juniors
website.
VERY IMPORTANT: EDDIE HERR INTERNATIONAL IS A SELECTION-BASED TOURNAMENT. JUST BECAUSE YOU
REGISTER DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY INTO THE EVENT. THERE ARE ONLY 96 QUALIFYING DRAW INVITES AND
64 MAIN DRAW INVITES PER AGE GROUP.

No refunds will be made after October 24 , for either main draw or qualifying draw. Before October 24 , $85 will
be refunded. Both entry application and fees must be received by October 9. No late entries will be accepted. All
withdrawals must be made in writing.

QUALIFYING DRAW

Boys’ and Girls’ 12s, 14s and 16s Mandatory Check-in: November 25 , 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 Location: IMG Academy (continue to check www.eddieherr.com for updates).
 All players must bring USTA cards or a passport to check in.
Check-in must be in-person between the designated times above. No late check-ins will be accepted and your
spot will be given to an on-site alternate who signed in.
DRAWS
Limited to 96 players per age division. Registering for the tournament does not guarantee entry into the qualifying
draw. Invitations are based on national/international ranking and order of merit. All foreign players must notify
and be endorsed by their respective federations who will then state the Order of Merit.
MATCH PLAY

All qualifying draw matches will be played at IMG Academy: 5500 34 St. West, Bradenton, FL 34210. Matches

will begin Thursday, November 28 . Match times will be determined once the draws are released.
ON-SITE ALTERNATES
Alternates may register in person at QUALIFYING registration to fill openings that may occur in the draw. It is up
to you as an alternate to check the draws posted on www.eddieherr.com to see if you make draws as an alternate.
Priority: We will put the alternates in order of merit and will go down that list of those who signed in during
qualifying sign in. Registered alternates report to the tournament desk 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the
first-round match in their division. Alternates who are not selected after qualifying registration may still show up
on Thursday to fill in “no show” positions. You must be ready to play when called upon and pay the $120 entry fee
(CASH ONLY).
QUALIFYING POSITIONS FOR MAIN DRAW
Eight (8) players qualify from each division (B/G 12s-16s) for Main Draw.
SURFACE
All matches will be played on hard courts. Some matches may be played on indoor courts depending on weather
and other circumstances.

Check-in must be in-person between the designated times above. No late check-ins will be accepted and your
spot will be given to ‘lucky losers’ and on-site alternate who signed in.
DRAWS
Limited to 64 players per age division. Preference will be given to nationally and internationally ranked players.
Acceptance will be at the discretion of the Eddie Herr International Selection Committee. All foreign players must
be endorsed by their respective federations who must state their order of merit.
MATCH PLAY

All main draw matches will be played at IMG Academy: 5500 34 St. West, Bradenton, FL 34210. Matches will
begin Monday, December 1. Match times will be determined once the draws are released.
LUCKY LOSERS
Players who lose in qualifying will fill “no show” positions in the main draw. PRIORITY: Players who lost in the final
round of qualifying; the order of players shall be randomly drawn. If more players are needed, players from the
previous round shall be selected in the same manner. ITF, Regional, and National Rankings are NOT considered. It
is up to you as an alternate to check the draws posted on www.eddieherr.com to see if you make draws as a “lucky
loser”.
SURFACE
All matches will be played on hard courts. Some matches may be played on indoor courts depending on weather
and other circumstances.
DOUBLES:
Play will begin Tuesday or Wednesday after singles of the main draw week. Sign up for doubles will take place
during the main draw week only. Draw size is half the size of singles – 32 teams. Priority of teams is based upon
the following criteria: 1) Two Main Draw Players; 2) Main Draw\Qualifying Combo; 3) Qualifying Draw players.

Doubles format will be two tie break sets, match tie break in place of third set. Players must dress substantially
similar – per ITF dress code.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
One match per day will be scheduled for singles. If you sign up for doubles during the main draw week – you may
have two matches that day. Night play may become necessary. Play will be two out of three sets. The 12-point
tiebreaker will be used in all sets. Scoring may be changed due to weather conditions.
The USTA Point Penalty System will be enforced during play. Five minute warm-up, including practice serves will be
allowed. A new can of balls will be used for the third set. Default time is 15 minutes.
