GENERAL INFORMATION:
Venue:
The Al Faisaliah Exhibition & Convention Centre is located in the heart of Riyadh’s
commercial district. It offers all the facilities expected of a 5 star international hotel
and exhibition complex with ample hotel rooms,restaurants,meeting rooms and car
parking.
Technical details:
-
Floor loading – maximum 2 tons per square metre.
-
Minimum ceiling height – due to the curved roof of the exhibition hall there is
no general height restriction. Exhibitors having their stands custom built must
contact the organisers in order to find out the height limit of their stand.
-
Electric power supply – 220volts / 15amp. Further details available on request
from the organisers.
General exhibition services/information:
-
CLEANING: exhibitors who have contracted for space with stand (shell scheme)
will have their stands (but not exhibits) cleaned and maintained. Exhibitors
who have contracted for space only are responsible for their own stand
cleaning. The common areas/gangways will be cleaned and maintained.

CULTURAL SENSITIVITIES: International exhibitors are reminded to be sensitive
to Islamic culture. This includes the following:
1. Women are not permitted to staff exhibition stands.
2. Pictures of women working or pictures of women with men are not permitted
in any stand literature or display graphics.
3. 3 - Dimensional representations of life forms (eg manikins, models of animals)
are not permitted.
4. Alcohol is not permitted within Saudi Arabia.
CUSTOM BUILT STANDS: exhibitors contracted for space only and building their
own stands must forward their stand design to the organisers for approval no later
than 28 December 2014 otherwise on site modification charges may be incurred.

ELECTRICAL SERVICES / FURNITURE: see below under Space with stand (shell
scheme) and Space only (custom build).

HOTEL ACCOMODATION: For hotel enquiries/bookings, please see page 3.

PROMOTION: exhibitors are encouraged to circulate material within the
market ahead of the exhibition to promote their participation. Six weeks
before the exhibition the organisers will forward an electronic invitation to all
exhibitors for forwarding on to their contacts.
-
REGISTRATION: all exhibitors must register on arrival at the exhibition centre
and collect their registration badges which must be worn at all times.
Exhibitors may pre-register and collect their badges on arrival - see preregistration Order Form 5.
-
SECURITY: general security will be provided but this will not extend to
individual stands. Exhibitors are responsible for the security of their exhibits /
stands at all times.
-
SHIPPING: an international shipping coordinator and on-site agent has been
officially appointed for the exhibition. No other shippers will be allowed to
operate on site. Contact details can be found on page 2 of this manual.
-
SPACE WITH STAND (shell scheme) – exhibitors who have contracted for space
with stand (shell scheme) will have their stands equipped with: carpet floor,
spotlights, one electrical outlet, one table and two chairs, one counter and one
sloping shelf unit containing 3 shelves as standard (see order form 1).
Additional furniture and electrical items may be ordered from the official
contractor on Order Forms 2 and 3.

SPACE ONLY (custom build) - exhibitors building their own stands may apply to
the official stand contractor (contact details on page 2) for a design quotation
or appoint their own independent contractor. The mains electrical connection
for all Space only (custom build) stands must be ordered from the official stand
contractor (see Order Form 2.)
Exhibitors may only use contractors approved by the organisers – exhibitors
should check with the organisers before appointing their contractor.

VISAS - non Saudi Arabian nationals require a visa for entry into Saudi Arabia.
Exhibitors requiring a visa should make arrangements with their own contacts
in Saudi Arabia. The organisers can assist with visas for exhibitors who are not

able to obtain visas through their own resources and a minimum of six weeks’
notice is required – see Order Form 6. The Order Form should be submitted to
the organiser with a copy/scan of the passport. When the visa authority has
been received from Riyadh it will be sent to the exhibitor to process at the
embassy in their country of domicile.

The organisers will not be held responsible for any exhibitor who fails to obtain
a visa, whatever the circumstances.
