The Army Road and the Gendarmpath

Hear the story about Bov Church, the vicarage, the fire station and
the volunteer fire brigades and the Army Road, Bov during the middelages,
the border demarcation and we enjoy nature through the
Kruså Valley and on the Gendarmpath.

The Gendarmpath – on bike

An exciting and educational trip on the Gendarmpath from Kruså to
Sønderhav and back to Kruså via Østerskov. With challenging rises
and a fabulous view.

Meeting point: Herrehuset (the museeum) at the idyllic Island Kalvø at Løjt Land.
You are taken on a tour around the ship yard and are hearing about the life as a working man at
one of the largest ship yards in Denmark in the 1800 century. No registration.
Afterwards you can take a walk around Kalvø – a path at 1,5 km.

1864 City walk Aabenraa

Meeting point: The old Town Hall, Storegade 30, Aabenraa

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary you are being told the history about 1864 from
Aabenraas point of view. It was here where the Prussians had their head quarter for several
months. Both the Danish minded and the German minded were deeply torn in their expectations
for the future of duchy of Slesvig and they tried differently to influence the course
of events. But they were not Prussian.
