Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. The state of Alabama requires that all dogs be vaccinated against rabies. Please print or type all information on the entry form. Please show only dog’s AKC titles on the entry form. Telegraph, telephone and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate, and legible information on the entry forms; illegible or incomplete entries cannot be entered into the trial. All entries must be made on official AKC Entry Forms or copies and must include the Agreement and Rules. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entry fees shall not be refunded except that of a bitch (minus $10/day) who comes in season after being entered, by receipt of the Trial Secretary of a Veterinarian’s Certificate to this effect prior to the start of the show. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the trial committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the trial committee, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED. A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.00 AKC Recording Fee will be required for each entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 3) These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. NO X-PENS ALLOWED IN BUILDING. Dogs will be crated or attended to at all times. The word DOG includes both sexes. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check (this is the current amount charged for return checks in the city of Huntsville). Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a cash only basis. The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All trophies should be claimed the day of the show – HOTC Trophy chair will determine if any trophy will be mailed based on reasons for non-pickup.
