Availability
Continuity
• In 2013 the production SAP Systems on SLES achieved a 99.95%
availability over the year.
• From January to August 2014 we have reached 99.99% availability.
• Yearly SAP system recovery exercise.
• Disaster Recovery exercise successfully performed in 2013 and 2014 .
Capacity
• Swiss Re SAP Systems are handling 11000 users but could handle more.
• Simple scale out SAP Systems by adding more SLES servers.
• Scale up for one system to 100GB possible.
Performance
• No performance complaints from our customers due to 10GB Ethernet and
8GB FC adapters.
• Peak scale for Year-End or for Compensation Cycles are handled without
any issues.
Security
• SLES can handle Swiss Re security requirements (ssh login).
• Netgroups, LDAP integration.
