The Inaugural Norfolk Plains Jazz festival
Remembrance Day Special Jazz Club Event. The theme for the night is the “War Years” with music from the first and second world wars. (Longford)

Join in the fun with a li le nostalgic dressing up and make the night one to remember. Two fabulous bands on the night. The Hobart Vets Bands will combine with the Clarence City Band and then following them will be the Jazz Execu ves. The Hobart Veterans Brass Band The Hobart Veterans Brass Band is made up of older ex brass band players, aged between 46 and 86 years. They play for quite a varied range of func‐
ons such as Anzac day, fairs and rega as. For our Remembrance Day Jazz Club night they will be combining with the Clarence City Brass Band as some of the players play with both bands. They will be playing some war era tunes together with some well known band marches. The Jazz Execu ves The Jazz Execu ves were formed about six years ago to play for the Jazz Club annual Christmas Jam. As most of the members of the group were on the commi ee of the Jazz Club it was decided the name of Jazz Execu ves would be a fi ng name and so it stuck. The line up of the group stays pre y much the same depending on availability of musicians. We have played for quite a variety of func ons including: weddings, birthday par es, several charity func ons, Cancer Founda on fund raisers, MS fund raisers, opening of a newly renovated Funeral Home for Graham Family Funerals and many Jazz Club func ons and fes vals all round the state. The line up of the band is Viv Curtain trumpet, John Broadby piano, Bill Da‐
vis trombone, Rainer Gartz reeds, Terry Pa erson drums, Alistair Sco ban‐
jo, Nigel Hope bass guitar. Bookings a must. 3

GARMENTS with HOBART JAZZ CLUB LOGO

Some members will have seen other members sporting a polo or rugby shirt embroidered
with the Jazz Club logo. Anyone wanting to purchase one (or more) may do so by filling in
the order form below. Please use a separate order form for each shirt type.
There is also the option to bring in your own garment to have the HJC logo embroidered
onto it with the proviso that the garment is either brand new, recently dry cleaned or freshly
laundered.

The garments come in a wide range of colours and are very good quality and value for money. They come in a wide range of sizes from small to 4XL. The logo is in colour, as on our

Hot August Jazz Logos are also available; these are best on a black garment.

collected at any Jazz Club night. They will not be posted.
