CARERS NEEDED URGENTLY!
PERSONAL CARERS/AIN
Must have Certificate III in Aged Care and experience in a private home or nursing home.
Shifts for Personal Carers are a minimum of 3 hours and may involve any of the following: showering & toileting, prompting
medications, social interaction and companionship, driving to appointments, meetings, social events and medical appointments, cooking
nutritious meals, care of pets and plants. Sometimes clients may require carers with experience and training in Dementia Care.
COMPANION CARERS
Shifts for Companion Carers are a minimum of 3 hours and may involve any of the following: social interaction and companionship,
driving to appointments, meetings, social events & medical appointments, cooking nutritious meals, care of pets and plants, assistance
paying bills, mail and letter writing.
These positions are ideal for someone who wants regular casual work, is available during school hours, with an affinity for older people,
mature, active and flexible. Previous experience looking after an elderly person will be helpful but not essential.
LIVE IN CARERS
Usually, but not always, requires Certificate III in Aged Care plus experience working in a private home or Nursing Home.
Shifts are usually 3 or 4 days live in for 24 hours caring for elderly clients and may involve any of the following: Personal care
(showering, toileting), personal hygiene, cooking, shopping, driving client to appointments or social engagements, keeping house neat &
tidy. Client retains a cleaner.
