October is LWML Month! The ladies have been hard at work
making bookmarks that will be handed out to all women on the
weekend of Oct 4th and 5th. We will also be participating in the
worship services during that weekend. Please take time to visit
the LWML tables that will be set up in the Narthex containing
samples of the many projects we have been working on.
We meet every Thursday morning from 10am – noon in the Trinity Room. We are
entering our busy season – and we would love to have you stop by and lend a hand
with some fun projects.
The nightly group has started up again and meets on the first and third Thursday
evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Trinity Room. Tammy Picman will be our
leader and she has some wonderful ideas in store. Please come join us for some
fellowship.
If you, or somebody you know, are interested in providing childcare for
the group – please contact Linda Burns (708) 444-4756 or Tammy Picman (708) 5747762.
Remember – all ladies confirmation age and up are invited to be part of LWML!
We are collecting a variety of items for our projects.
Special requests for this month are: Colorful pillowcases
(to be sewn into dresses – see the display in the Trinity
Room on the bulletin board); other items we are collecting
for on-going projects include: double sided permanent
tape, 4ply yarn, Religious greeting cards – new or used,
cancelled postage stamps, eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Items can be left in the Trinity room in the purple box
marked LWML. Thank you in advance for your help!
Please remember to deposit your “mite” offerings into the drop box just outside the
Trinity Room. These funds are sent to the Northern Illinois District and are used to
fund the grants approved by LWML.
As always, thank you in advance for helping us to help others! Blessings!

Sunday School News
Classes Have Begun & Registration Is Still Open
Sunday School began on September 14 with over 90 children in
attendance! We are thankful for the over 50 adults and teens that are
dedicating their time and talents to teach the Gospel to the children of
Trinity.
Children ages 3 to Grade 6 can enroll at anytime. Registration is available online at
tlcs.org (click on the Sunday School slide) as well as paper forms available outside the
Children’s Ministries office. Visiting children are always welcome!
Sunday School classes are from 9:30–10:30 each Sunday. Children in preschool and
kindergarten meet in the Gym, while children in Grades 1–6 meet in the Music Room.
We Need YOU!
We are looking for a few more adult volunteers to dedicate their time and talents as
workshop leaders.
Our workshop leaders prepare only one lesson for the month and
then teach it each week to a different group of children. Leaders
can choose to teach for one month, two months, or every month.
They can choose an area that reflects their talents, whether that’s
crafts, storytelling, acting, cooking, music, computers, etc. This is a
great chance for partners, groups, and individuals to dedicate four
Sundays (or more) out of the year to sharing their time and talents
with the children of Trinity!
Please contact Jayne VanderVelde for more information and to volunteer for
this exciting year of Sunday School!
Reveal Kids Bible Lessons
Volunteers are needed to serve as teachers and helpers for the Reveal Kids
Bible Lessons each week during the 11:00 service sermon.

SOCIAL MINISTRY
Charlene Hyre 708-687-8716
or Joan Miller 708-429-0411
The Social Ministry exists to help members of the congregation that
need some assistance. The food drives during the holiday seasons
are just one way to reach out to those in need. It is always a joy to
see how members of Trinity respond to help others in need.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching. The Social
Ministry will once again be requesting donations of food, gift cards or
cash. Food items that are needed will be posted on the bulletin board in the Trinity
Room. If you wish to donate gift cards or cash please drop it off in the church office. If
you wish to refer a member to be a recipient of a food donation gift box, please contact
Charlene or Joan. Thank you for your support and generosity.

Governance Board Update
The Governance Board has had the opportunity to meet
twice since being elected. Our first couple of meetings have
focused on getting to know each other, identifying our
primary objectives, defining the scope of work that needs to
be completed, and beginning to set some structure for how
our group will work together. There is a lot of work to be
completed by next spring, so we have established a biweekly meeting schedule. We thank the congregation for
their continued prayers and support of this important work at Trinity, and look forward
to seeing where the Spirit will lead us.
