Program Overview
The anterior and lateral skull base encompasses hidden
recesses, occult pathology, and complex surgical approaches.
This anatomic region poses great medical and surgical
challenge, with potential for significant complications. The
participant will gain an enhanced understanding of diagnostic
workup and surgical technique, with avoidance of potential
pitfalls and complications.
Program Objectives
 Gain an enhanced understanding of the anatomy and
pathophysiology of the lateral and anterior skull base
 Recognize potential pitfalls and complications related
to sinus surgery
 Develop an algorithm related to surgical approaches to
this complex anatomic region
