Revisiting the CTE Landscape How Ford NGL Fits In [Strand 2]
Description:
Interest and enrollment in career and technical education (CTE) are increasing, yet investments in CTE programs remain low.
Last year Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC), a long-time partner in Ford NGL, conducted a survey of CTE educators
and interviews with key state CTE leaders. Findings underscore the need for essential elements of the Ford NGL approach,
including integrating academic and career education, building students’ employability skills, aligning CTE programs with regional workforce development needs, and building stronger business-education partnerships. This session will engage participants in exploring the survey findings and enable them to use the findings to guide their efforts and build support in their
communities for Ford NGL.
