Famous Dave’s catered the meal last year Returned Checks: Any check refused by your bank for any reason whatsoever will be subject to a fee of $25, plus costs. which was so well received, we’ve asked them to do it again Parade All clubs and groups are invited to “parade” at the beginning of the afternoon performance on Sunday. Stall award presentations will be made at this time. Entry Forms The prize list (show bill) and entry forms will be available on line at www.michiganhorseshow.com. ENTRY INFORMATION Entries: Entries will close for all classes (except Championships) on October 15, 2014. One horse/rider per entry form. Include with your entry: 1. Entry Form 2. Back to back classes. Do not enter back to back classes if a tack change is required. Our schedule does not allow for tack holds. Post Entries: Post entries or class changes may be made at an additional $5.00. (Championships excluded). Post entries close two classes before the class you are entering. If you show and are not entered, the Post Entry fee will be doubled to $10.00. Class Changes: All changes, for whatever reason, with or without veterinary certification, will be treated as a new entry and subject to the post entry fee. Stable-with requests: Exhibitors wishing to be stabled together must send all entries together with all stalls pre-paid. There will be no guarantees to be stabled together otherwise. Entries arriving separately will not be guaranteed stabling with requests. Stabling Office Hours: Thursday – 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A stall chart will be posted at the stabling office for late arrivals. Anyone occupying a stall not assigned to them will be subject to dismissal and forfeiture of all fees. CAMPING Fees: The camping fee will be $50.00 for the entire week-end or any part thereof. Awards A trophy & ribbons to 10 places will be awarded in all Classes. ARRIVALS Absolutely no horses, exhibitors or any camping unit or vehicle will be allowed beyond the gates before 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Performance Class Splits: All classes will be split at 21. Rules and Regulations 1. Each breed will be judged according to current breed rules and standards. 2. Lunging: Daily lunging times for the main arena will be posted. There will be no lunging at any other time or on any grassy area. Lunging will be allowed in the North arena but not while the horse show is in session or one hour before. Anyone breaking these lunging rules will be asked to leave the grounds and will forfeit all entry fees. Do not enter this show if you cannot abide by this lunging rule. 3. Back numbers: Wearing your back number is a vital part of preparing for the ring. Don’t make the mistake of entering the ring without it. Two numbers will be issued for riders in Western classes. BOTH are to be used. 4. Class Schedule: Management reserves the right to change the schedule and to re-assign judges whenever it deems that the smooth operation of the show requires it. Lunch and Dinner Breaks will be announced at times suiting the progress of the show. 5. Public Address System: Class calls to the barns are merely a courtesy. It is the responsibility of the exhibitors to be in the holding area when they are called. 6. Wireless communication: Any type of electronic communication between an exhibitor and anyone else, during a class, is strictly prohibited. 7. Attire: Proper attire and appointments are required for all classes. Stock Seat Equitation and Western Pleasure riders are to wear long-sleeved shirt and cowboy boots. Lariat or riata. Chaps, and spurs are optional. 9. Drugs: The use of drugs, stimulants or depressants is strictly prohibited. 8. Age: Contestants shall not be over 18 years of age as of January 1, 2013. 9. No horses allowed on any grassy area. 10. All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6’ in length or contained. 11. No nails or staples in any stall nor any place in the Arena. Golf cart operators must be licensed motor vehicle driver 12.Smoking is not allowed in any of the facility buildings. Vandalism of any kind will have the most serious consequences!. The Michigan Horse Show Association will pay a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone found guilty of theft or vandalism. 13. Sportsmanship: Anyone, whether exhibitor, parent, trainer or spectator who, in the opinion of show management is guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct will be required to leave the grounds. 14. Stallions: This is a show for mares and geldings only. Stallions are strictly prohibited.. 15. Safety First: Safety is our primary concern. Red ribbons will not be permitted in a horse’s tail. If your horse is not well-mannered and/or is known to kick out in the ring, do not bring it to this all youth show. Supplemental information will be provided in the Youth Show Prize List.
