SWICON Conferences are held at four year intervals. SWICON 2015 is the ninth in series, the first having been organized in 1984. Objectives: SWICON conferences provide an international platform for the presentation and discussion on the latest developments in the field of Switching, Protection, Control and Communication for Low, Medium, High & Extra High Voltage power system. Application of new technologies & materials for enhanced benefits to the users 2015 Switching ON the Future Switching ON the Future Theme: Call for Manuscript: The theme for SWICON 2015, “Switching ON the Future” has been chosen to align it with the evolving trends in the energy technology and associated switchgear industry across the world. There has been an enhanced focus on sustainable and efficient use of energy through convergence of IT offering smarter solutions. This is being worked on, right from power generation to distribution and utilization. At the same time with ever increasing fault levels, safety concerns, materials & quality of power supply remain as focus points. Manuscripts for presentation at the Conference are invited on the topics mentioned above. Papers should have relevance/ consonance with the theme of the Conference and should be based on actual work done, results obtained and future technological trends etc. Important: XX Switchgear for Efficient Transmission & Distribution XX Integration of Switchgear with Automation Processes Papers presented previously in any Conference or published in any Journal are not acceptable. The authors are required to give a declaration to this effect. XX At least one Author in case of paper having multiple authors has to be present at the Conference for presenting the paper. Only one Author will be exempted from payment of delegate fee, all other co-authors have to register as paying delegates. XX Trade name or Brand name of any particular product or service or company logo is not to be displayed in any form. While critical reviews and analysis may be included, the paper should not criticise any specific product or service. XX The presentation has to be submitted on a standard template which will be provided by SWICON 2015. The length of the Manuscript should generally not exceed 6-pages, including figures, in the format that will be forwarded to authors along with detailed instructions. The final Manuscripts will be scrutinized by the Technical Committee for acceptance for presentation in the conference and/ or inclusion in the conference publication. Authors will be intimated about the status of their submitted final Manuscripts latest by 30th June 2015.
