With the help of seed money a few network projects could be started resulting in several CTI projects running successfully. In addition, we coordinated a special theme issue in Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews published in April 2014, «Innovative tissue models for drug discovery and development». Grown on the TEDD platform a proposal for a National Research Program (NFP) was submitted in January 2014. From 69 proposals our topic is currently under evaluation in a feasibility study by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) together with five other research programs. The title of our program is «3D meets 3R – Organ-like tissue models with prospects for medicine and animal welfare».
