World Mission 2014 - One Family on Mission
Week 4: Sharing JOY in the parish and the world
Mission is about sharing joy with others wherever we go, and inviting others to consider that
there is a greater purpose to human existence than mere living.
God loves us and wants us to be in a right relationship with him. As baptized Christians, we
have the grace and privilege to have experienced this love as well as heard the call to spread
this love from God to others. Hence, mission is not only about going on overseas missions but
also being on mission to those around us who need to hear the message.
As a parish, we can share joy by:
- Deciding on a focus area for mission in the coming year.
- Praying and supporting the parish mission groups (if any) in your parish. Consider setting up a
parish mission group if there is none.
- Helping parishioners discern how they can participate in the Church's mission.
- Celebrate World Mission Sunday Mass on 19th October with joy and send forth everyone to
take God’s love and peace to the world.
Week 4 Reflection:
How can we remind ourselves that we are all joyful missionaries taking the message
of Christ to all?

help to children who have been neglected, ill-treated or abandoned by their
natural families. There are currently many children awaiting placements in
loving home environments; this can greatly facilitate their restoration, healing and development. Join us on 16 October 2014 at 4:00pm to find out
more! Venue: Canossaville Children's Home, 1 Sallim Road, Gate 3
