calligraphy: from Greek, kallos: beauty + graphein: to write The Australian Society of Calligraphers (ASC) is an active group of lettering artists of all skills, from enthusiastic beginners to professional and those who simply appreciate lettering and the book arts. Located in Sydney at Primrose Park Art and Craft Centre Cremorne, the ASC have members from all over Australia and overseas. We are a nonprofit incorporated association that promotes and encourages calligraphy, letterarts and other related crafts. The ASC holds excellent regular monthly workshops at Primrose Park. These represent great value for money, and are both informative and fun. A variety of local, national and international tutors are selected each year by the committee to present an array of inspiring programs at all levels. Membership is available to anyone interested in hand lettering and calligraphy, regardless of their calligraphic ability.
