MPOWER (Massey University), in association with the NZ Work Research Institute (AUT) and the School of Management (Massey University), is proud to host 3rd New Zealand Industrial/Organisational Psychology Conference When: Time: Thursday, 11 December 2014 9am – 5pm Massey University (Albany), Quadrangle Building B: QB5 (1st Floor) – Building #8, Albany East Precinct – see map link below) Call for Abstracts This inclusive event is open to all however we aim to welcome academics and students (PhD and Masters) working on topics directly in or related to I/O Psychology (I/OP) and Organisational Behaviour (OB). The aim of the conference is for I/OP and OB researchers to get together and discuss their own research and is intended to promote a better understanding of each other’s research and develop a stronger I/OP and OB community. A range of papers will be accepted that fit under the term ‘research’ including but not limited to: conceptual papers, empirical studies and work-in-progress. While we traditionally have a single stream approach for the conference, this year we are launching a lunch-time Poster Session so we are especially interested in Masters and PhD Students to contribute to this. An extended abstract (1,000 words max.) can be emailed to: Professor Jarrod Haar ([email protected]) by 31 October 2014, 5pm Please indicate the status of contributors (academic, professional, student) and whether you are targeting the Poster Session only. To assist reviewers please style your submission using these abstract headings: purpose; methodology approach; findings; research limitations; practical implications; originality Authors can be lead author in one submission only, but may contribute to others. Your abstract will be peer-reviewed and constructive feedback returned to you Upon submitting an abstract you will be asked to review two papers (return the review sheet to [email protected] by 17 November 2014, 5pm). Your own paper will only be considered for acceptance in the conference programme if you also contribute by completing reviews in a timely manner. The organising committee will aim to return constructive feedback to you by 24 November, allowing time (if necessary) to provide a revised abstract by 5 December 2014, 5pm.
