—Golden Bear Sports Spooktacular-Plan to attend on Thurs. Oct. 30 from 6-8pm at the SHS Auxiliary Gym.
Pre-Sale wristbands are $5 (Prek-8th) & are available in the Hendricks office. Tickets will be $7 at the door. Get them early! Trick-or-Treat with
SHS athletes, FREE candy, FUN prizes, sports themed carnival games, arts & crafts, free pumpkins to first 300 kids, FREE boys’ game
basketball ticket for each child, and more! Costumes are encouraged!
—Pacers tickets-The deadline to sell/order Pacers tickets is October 15. Please make checks payable to the Indiana Pacers.
—Calendar Contest-Congratulations to Hendricks 5th graders Taylor Brinkman and Kaylee Tackett. Taylor’s entry in the
Shelby County Prosecutor’s Office Anti-Drug Calendar Contest was chosen as the county GRAND PRIZE winner. Kaylee’s entry
won 3rd in her division. We are proud of you girls and proud of the Hendricks Art Department!
—Halloween Festival-Shelbyville Parks & Rec. will host a Halloween Fun Festival for ages 12 & under on Fri. Oct. 17 at the
Shelby County Fairgrounds, 6:00-9:00pm. Advance wristbands are $7, $8 at festival. Parents are free! Come out for a
“Spooktacular” good time with hayrides, games, pony rides, pumpkin carving, movie, food, and more! Visit 945 S. Tompkins St. or

—Box Tops for Education-
During the month of October, there will be a class competition. The room that turns in
the most box tops will receive a
special prize. Each Box Top for Education is important-our school can earn FREE $$! Ask
grandparents, neighbors, & friends to save box tops for your student. If you register online at boxtops4education.com and select
Hendricks as your school, you may enter for a chance to win 2,500 box tops! You can enter daily until October 31, 2014.
—Note from P.E.-Students will be participating in an 8-minute run/walk fitness test during P.E. class next week.
Please have
your child dress appropriately on their gym day, with P.E. attire and gym shoes. Thank you!
—Chili Supper-A HUGE THANK YOU to the parents, guardians, grandparents, and more who have already donated $$, signed
up to send in cakes, and have volunteered to work the Chili Supper on Thurs. Oct. 16. We appreciate everyone being willing to
help so much! Hendricks families are the absolute best! Hope to see everyone there on Thursday. It’s going to be a great night
full of good food and tons of fun!
