Whole Enchilada Fiesta — The 34th

Tough Enough to Wear Pink Week —
NMSU breast cancer awareness week events
are Sept. 28-Oct. 4, throughout the NMSU
campus and in Las Cruces, hosted by Cowboys
for Cancer Research. Activities conclude with a
halftime appearance during the NMSU football
game vs. Georgia at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at

Aspenfest — The Village of Ruidoso’s celebration of fall colors is Saturday and Sunday,
Oct. 4-5. This year’s theme is “Salute to
Freedom: Aspenfest Style.” Events include a

Pinos Altos October Fiesta — The
mountain village of Pinos Altos, N.M. will host
its 15th annual fall fiesta 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 4. Most events are in the historic Main Street area. The fair offers live
entertainment, children’s activities, arts and
crafts, collectibles, gold-panning, reenactments,
antiques and food vendors. Proceeds benefit
the Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire Department.

Mexico’s largest winery will host its 20th annual
wine fest noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday,
Oct. 4-5, at 1325 DeBaca Road in Deming.
