The SEEK Learning Center has an opening for an Accounting Tutor. Qualified candidates should be well versed in Accounting;
Accounting Majors preferred with experience in upper level courses.
Tutor must have at least 24 credits, a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) and a grade of “B” or better in the subject area.

Law School Application & Personal Statement Workshop
Date: Friday, October 10, 2014
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Place: Room 819 East Building
You need only attend one session. This workshop targets students applying to law school this cycle for entry into law school for fall
2015. This workshop was also offered at the end of spring term and during the summer. Students who attended the spring/summer
sessions need not attend, but are welcome if they would like a refresher or have questions. This is the third and FINAL session to be
offered this fall.

Bloomberg Assessment Test (BAT)
Date: Sunday, October 12, 2014

Hunter has partnered with Bloomberg Institute to offer a free administration of the BAT to interested Pre-Business students.
The BAT is a global, standardized online test developed by Bloomberg Institute in partnership with premier financial
institutions and university faculty around the world. The test covers a range of subjects including Finance, Global Markets,
Investment Banking, Math and Verbal skills.
The test is a terrific opportunity for all students interested in a variety of financial industries including Investment Banking,
Sales and Trading, Investment Management, Accounting, Consulting, Research, Insurance and many others. The BAT allows
students the opportunity to gain exposure to financial employers worldwide. Bloomberg Institute maintains an anonymous

SUNY Downstate Early Medical Education (EME) and Exploring Health Careers (EHC)
Program recruitment sessions
Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2014
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Place: Room 1036 North Building
The Early Medical Education Program (EME) is an initiative to increase the academic competitiveness of undergraduate pre-medical
students, early in their college career. The program is designed to provide medical science lectures and academic support through a
4-week, summer enrichment program for the first two summers and a 6-week, pre-matriculation program for the third summer.
Students are selected from one of the participating linkage schools. Once accepted into EME, if students meet the program
requirements they are granted a guaranteed acceptance into SUNY Downstate's College of Medicine. EHC is an initiative to expose
students to a variety of career options in the health professions. The program is designed to provide exposure to targeted health
professions through faculty presentations, shadowing opportunities in clinics and affiliate sites, and information about the
application process. The professions highlighted during the program include: medicine, allied health, graduate studies, and nursing.

systematically evaluates their content. She will discuss matters including how she views grades on the transcript (what about

The organization seeks Hunter College freshmen, sophomores and juniors to become part of a young progressive movement
addressing critical issues such as civil liberties, the judiciary, religious freedom, the environment, reproductive choice and civil
rights. The organization will provide selected students with mentors, skills and training, networking and internship
opportunities. This year-long fellowship program begins with an all-expenses paid conference to be held in Washington, D.C.
in January.

Open House - Albert Einstein School of Medicine

The Annual Diversity Student Open House will give you an opportunity to visit Albert Einstein College of Medicine and obtain
information about the medical school and the Graduate Division in Biomedical Sciences. You will also have an opportunity to
meet some of the diversity medical and graduate students that attend the college. Presentations will be made on the medical
school and graduate school admission process and summer programs for diversity students. Tours will be conducted of the
