Department: Operations Job: Operations Support Head Location: Based in Dar es Salaam Reports To: Network Operations Director Role Purpose: Responsible for supporting field operations for Quality Assurance and adherence to Health and Safety standards. Responsible for Grid and Fuel Administration, also including quantity plans, supply, distribution, MC/supplier/HTT reconciliations, controls and reporting. Responsible for spares management from planning, usage management, reconciliations and reporting. Responsible for network assets central management. Supporting the Regional Ops Heads and the DNOD in ops budget setting, management and achieve efficiencies in line with the budget. Responsible for network logistics management. Responsible for central support to the business/other departments, business partners and customers. Daily, weekly, monthly reporting to the Deputy Networks Director Decision Making Authority/Mandates/Constraints Financial decision making authority on operations expenditures on fuel, grid, spares and staff travel arrangements for field operations in line with pre-approved budgets. Technical decision making authority only in line with company specifications. Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times Key Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Education requirements – Degree: Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Telecoms Engineering Professional qualifications – Recommended Length of minimum commercial experience – 3 to 5 years Length of minimum management experience – 5 to 10+ year Mandatory skills and attributes (e.g. technical, language, vertical, regional knowledge) – Technical, Health and Safety Standards. Additional notes – 5 to10+ Years telecommunications experience, Computer Literate (Excel, Word, Outlook) Key Result Areas Priority % of Time Key Activities Cost Efficiencies 30% Cost budgeting and budget management.
