TEMPERATURE VEGETATION DRYNESS INDEX (TVDI) COMPUTATION FOR DROUGHTS PHASE MAPPING USING REMOTE SENSING DATA (CASE STUDY: TAMAN NASIONAL BROMO TENGGER SEMERU) Name of Student NRP Department Supervisor : : : : Ahmad Azhar Ibrahimi 3509 100 034 Teknik Geomatika FTSP-ITS Hepi Hapsari Handayani ST, M.Sc Abstract Droughts occur when a land area experiencing water shortages. every dry season in Indonesia drought is almost happen in forest with different intensity and areas each year, so drought monitoring is important. In this research TVDI (Temperature Vegetation Dryness Indeks) is used for monitoring the droughts at forest area.Droughts Index is adjuted by land surface temperature and vegetation index for reference. In this research, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and LST (Land Surface Temperature) from ASTER DATA are useful for developing The TVDI models. The formulas that obtained from the research are TVDI= (LST – (50.86*NDVI – 20.253))/((-114.248*NDVI) + 88.162). The index range from The research are TVDI 0 – 0.2 (wet), 0.2 – 0.4 (dampy), 0.4 – 0.6 (normal), 0.6 – 0.8 (dryish), 0.8 – 1 (dry) The extents of them are 3282.28 ha, 4263.19 ha, 8039.59 ha, 7156.46 ha, 2553.30 ha. vii “Halaman ini sengaja dikosongkan” viii
