*CALL TO WORSHIP (responsive) Psalm 78:1-4
Seth Hagler
Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will
open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, things that we have heard
and known, that our ancestors have told us.
We will not hide them from our children; we will tell to the coming generation the
glorious deeds of the Lord and his might, and the wonders God has done.
*prAYER OF THE DAY
*HYMN 634
“To God Be the Glory”
to god be the glory
CALL TO CONFESSION
The grace of God overflows for us through Jesus Christ who came into the world to save
sinners. Trusting in God’s grace, let us confess our sin.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (unison)
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by
what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our
whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In
your mercy, forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we
shall be, that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy
name.
SILENT CONFESSION

*PROFESSION OF FAITH (unison) The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ
his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the
third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right
hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

SCRIPTURE
Phillip L. Stagg
Hear the words of our Lord Jesus Christ:
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given
to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of
the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
obey everything that I have commanded you. And
remember, I am with you always, to the end of the
age. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you
were called to the one hope of your calling,
One Lord, one faith, one Baptism, one God and
Father of all, who is above all and through all and
in all.
