ABOUT INSTITUTION
OBJECTIVES
Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT) Anna
University is established by the Government of Tamil Nadu at
Tiruchirappalli with a vision to impart quality technical education
to produce proven technocrats and to strive hard for unbroken
development in learning and research activities. The institute also
works towards nurturing partnerships with Academic and
Industrial experts to provide quality education and opportunities
for ground-breaking development by providing proactive training.
To achieve correlation between basic and applied
chemical science for the needs of industry and academic sphere
BIT has imprinted a place for itself in providing
technical education in the disciplines that are rare of their kind in
society. Aiming at excellence, the institute offers UG / PG
programmes in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical,
Information Technology, Automobile, Mechanical, Computer
Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and
Electronics and Civil Engineering and Research programmes in
Engineering, Technology and Sciences.
OUTCOME
The budding scientist and academician of institution to
understand the developmental activities and motivating the
everyone to make it an ideal platform for share views and
experiences in Applied Chemical Science and Materials Technology

The Department of Chemistry is established in 1999. The
Department faculty members are handling B.E./B.Tech. and
M.Tech. It is well equipped with research lab and has dedicated
staffs that are proficient at prominent institute. Their research
papers are well cited. The faculty members attract substantial
financial support for their research activities from CSIR, DST,
UGC and TNSCST. The Department offers vibrant atmosphere to
scholar to nurture the spirit of scientific inquiry and to pursue
cutting edge research. The active field of research includes
Coordination chemistry, Photochemistry, Catalysis, Material,
Polymer, Organic Chemistry, Nanotechnology and Environmental
chemistry.

• Surface chemistry
Chemical sciences hold the keys to provide new
materials, and sustainable technologies to meet the ever growing
needs of the society in energy, food and health sectors. The
objective of this conference is to bring together students and
researchers in academics, industries and research institutions for
knowledge sharing and exchange of ideas about current status and
future directions in various fields of chemical sciences. The
conference will include invited talks and plenary lectures of
eminent scientists and contributed research papers.

Submission of Abstract and Registration form
Authors should submit the abstract by „e-mail to the Coordinator‟
in the word format with 1.5 line spacing and 12 pt in Times New
Roman font. Registration form along with DD drawn in favour of
“The Head, Department of Chemistry” payable at Tiruchirappalli
must be sent to the coordinators. A registration form is provided
with this circular. If required, Photo copy of the form may be used.
Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of the
conference with ISBN on first come first serve basis.
