The Hon’ble GERC, vide Letter No. GERC /Tech/2014/1378 dated 24th Jun
2014 has approved to recover following charges from the prospective LT
consumers.

For example, if customer applies for 25 KW Load demand then charges would be
Rs 21000+ (5 x 1100) = Rs 26500
All categories of prospective new consumers for Load Extension /
Reduction / Shifting / PDC reconnection etc. at the rates stated as
above, except Agriculture Tatkal Category, LTP-V category.
The above charges shall not be applicable for Temporary connections.

 Following points are to be taken care of while considering the
charges.
o While releasing the connections under Agriculture-Tatkal,
Green house and Schemes approved by the grant from State
Government/ Central Government the charges from the
applicants are to be recovered as per the norms approved
under respective scheme.
o DISCOMs shall entertain single phase lighting connection upto
3 KW in agriculture land including the cases , where
agriculture does not exists in the same survey number.
However, in such cases, DISCOMs are allowed recovered
actual cost as per the latest cost data subject to maximum
amount of Rs. 1.0 Lakh.
o In case of infrastructure development for housing
colony/Industrial estate/ Street Light Network etc. The
DISCOMs may create distribution network on its own , where if
there is any potential development in that areas and as such
the DISCOMs need not create network where there is no
consumer to be supplied power and recovery for individual
application should be made according to the service line
charges on “PER KW basis” approved by the commission.
o The revised charges shall be effective for the applications
received on or after 1st July 2014 , and will continue to remain
in force till any further revision.
