Yemeni security and military officials say Shiite rebels have launched a new offensive that captured a key port city on the Red Sea and a province south of Sanaa. The same rebels recently

The top U.S. and Russian diplomats are meeting in Paris to talk about Ukraine in an effort to improve relations. There are some causes for optimism despite the difficulties. Most Russian troops
appear to have left the scene of the fiercest fighting between government forces and separatist
rebels. And Russia's president meets this week with his Ukrainian counterpart.
An infectious disease consultant for a regional health system says the infection of a Dallas nurse
caring for an Ebola patient was a wake-up call for hospitals to be more prepared. Dr. Wendall
Hoffman says Sanford Health has improved its ability to respond to the virus over the past couple
of weeks. Sanford operates clinics and hospitals in South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa
and Nebraska.
South Dakota stores are preparing for the hunting season that's scheduled to begin this week.
Gary's Gun Shop manager Tony Naatjes says he expects to be between 10 and 15 percent up in
revenue compared to last year. He says a lot of the revenue will come from selling shells.

South Dakota hunters have gotten their first shot at pheasants this season. Game, Fish and Parks
conservation officer Nick Cochran says those who put in the time over the weekend got their limit. He says some hunters were found to be using lead shot instead of the required steel shot.
SGame and Fish biologists are studying how the cooler-than-normal summer might have impacted
fish spawning and stocking success across North Dakota. Fisheries management section leader
Scott Gangl says there appears to be average reproduction and stocking success. Devils Lake and
Stump Lake reported fair to good numbers of young walleye.
