Beach and Harbour pools in Copenhagen
In Copenhagen, you’re never far away from the coast. The Coast encircles almost the whole of
Copenhagen and offers very fine places to relax and have a swim.
Amager Beach
Just five kilometers from the centre of Copenhagen, and two kilometers from the Airport we find
Amager Beach, the city beach with enough space for all kinds of beach life.
Take the metro to the Amager strand metro stop
Bellevue Beach
In Klampenborg, about 10 kilometers from downtown Copenhagen, is Bellevue Beach. The
beach is five minutes walk from both Klampenborg STrain Station and Deer Park.
Harbour Bathing 2013 Copenhagen harbour swim bath called Copencabana
close to the shopping mall Fisketorvet a short walk from Dybolsbro station with three basins
that cover more than 650 square meters.
The bathing facilities have life savers constantly on duty and both bathing places have from the
very beginning been a great success. The Opening of the harbour bathing season is from June
1st to August 31st and is a great yearly tradition. Come and join the Copenhageners from 07:00
am to 07:00 pm on weekdays and Saturday and Sundays from 11:00 am to 07:00 pm.
Islands Brygge Baths
is constructed on pontoons and includes swimming pools, children's pools and a pool you can
dive into from a height of three or five metres. The pool is rectangular in shape, with long wooden
promenades, which resemble the decks of a passenger ship. The diving tower looks like the
prow of a ship and the lifeguard tower the ship's funnel. The Harbour Baths can accommodate

Small budget
Flea markets
There are several flea markets around Copenhagen. The markets by Frederiksberg City Hall and
on Nørrebrogade tend to be slightly cheaper than the otherwise very popular one at Thorvaldsens
Plads in the city centre. If you are looking for a good bargain, you should pay a visit to one of the
flea markets that are open during the summer months. The markets are full of old jewelry, vinyl
records, unique antiques and cheap clothes. A good flea market for those looking for retro
clothes is the one in Jægersborggade (text in Danish only). It is a good idea to arrive early if you
want to be sure to make a good deal. The markets are popular and often crowded.
