techfest and Riviera: which is a cultural fest. And for the first time
GraVITas is going to be organized in both, Vellore and Chennai.
To provide exposure to the students, Chennai campus is taking
another huge step by independently keeping the GraVITas flag

Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai Campus is a

and challenges .The five year old campus offers undergraduate
and postgraduate programmes and draws students from every
state in India.
The campus is known for its greenery and is also called as the
“Green Campus”. It harnesses wind and solar power to
minimize the usage of conventional electricity. Also, the paper
usage is minimal as most of the official work done by staff,
faculty and students is soft copy based. It has an open air
auditorium also called as amphitheater along with which it has
a well furnished library with variety of books available to
students. The campus has ATM facilities along with major
food spots as Gazebo, Nescafe Point and others. University
sporting facilities include an athletic track, basketball courts,
tennis courts and football grounds. The campus is Wi-Fi
enabled. The campus also has a music room and a dance room
to encourage students to form dance groups and create music,
everything from classical to heavy metal. VIT ensures a
holistic development of the young adults.
