Policy Conference: “emPOWERing Arkansas”.
he 2014 “emPOWERing Arkansas” Conference offers access to the latest information, solutions,
and technologies fueling the success of Arkansas’s advanced energy businesses. Join state,
regional, and national advanced energy leaders and help shape strategies for continued growth.

communities across the state and region.
rkansas offers abundant opportunities to lead the way in the region’s advanced energy economy.
As an emerging center for biofuels production and a leader among southeastern states in energy
efficiency standards, Arkansas has seen its advanced energy economy grow faster than the overall
state economy since 2003. More than 11,000 Arkansans are employed in the field of advanced energy,
including energy efficiency, demand response, natural gas electric generation, solar, wind, hydro, nuclear,
electric vehicles, alternative fuels, and smart grid.
e
mPOWERing Arkansas 2014 includes interactive workshops and panels, as well as a featured
lunch program with two of the country’s top energy efficiency company CEOs and special
remarks from 2014 statewide candidates for Governor. Join us as we celebrate Arkansas’s
advanced energy successes and explore ways to continue expanding the industry, increasing jobs for
Arkansans, and creating better opportunities for our state.
