Have a Heart for Kids with
Cancer and Blood Disorders
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Dominick
Congratulations
To Brett Blauvelt and Cecilia Gonzalez
who celebrated the Sacrament of Matrimony
this weekend. Please keep them in your
prayers as they begin their married life together. May God
unite them in His love, protect and guide them, and help
them draw nearer to Christ and one another each day.
Parish Office will be closed Monday, October
14 for observance of Columbus Day.
Hackensack University Medical Center kids are
always reminded that being a student is still their
primary job despite the need for intense medical
treatment. It often sends a message of hope to
them as well as their parents even after a devastating diagnosis of cancer or a serious blood disorder.
Please give these kids a place to learn when they
are hospitalized and unable to attend school. With
your tax-deductible donation, we will be able to
complete necessary renovations to an out-dated
classroom that fails to provide the technological
support that is needed to learn.
Please stop by after masses on November 1 – 2,
2014 or contact Sarah Donnangelo at (551) 9965672/[email protected] if you
are able to help. As a small “thank you” from the
kids, a custom CD and raffle ticket will be yours
for each donation of $5. On behalf of these brave
children and their families, thank you for your
support.

Religious Education
Hello Immaculate Conception community,
I would like this opportunity to introduce myself. My
name is Tiffany Spizzo and I am the Catechetical Associate
of Religious Education. I have had many beginnings here
at Immaculate Conception church. My husband TJ and I
got to know each other at ICC youth group many moons
ago. I myself have taught CCD classes for several years and
have been a greeter at church. My husband has been a part
of this church since receiving his first communion and is
currently a lector. We were even married here by Father
Chris. So at one time or another, I am sure our paths have
crossed. Our home is filled with the laughter and love of
our 4 daughters: Courtney, Elizabeth, Kate and Lauren. Together, like you, we are happy to call Immaculate
Conception our church and I am excited to serve the
church, your children and our parish community.
Thank you for entrusting your children to the care of our
teachers and myself. I promise I will treat them like my
own. We will continue to help build their relationship with
God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit over this school year. Please
reach out to me with any offerings of time and talent you
may have.
With love, light and gratitude,
Tiffany Spizzo

HELP NEEDED IN PAKINSTAN
“We request you to please pray for our Christian
brothers and sisters in this time of difficulty.”
~ Fr. Simon
Heavy rains in Pakistan where Fr. Simon lives has caused a “deadly flood.” Fr. Simon writes “More than 400 people
have lost their lives and 1.7 Million people have been affected. More than 250 villages were affected in Jhang and Toba
Tek Singh. The water level was up to 7 feet. The crops are totally damaged and people have lost everything. “ This devastating flood has also affected schools. “The roofs are leaking and the children are forced to sit under the trees. The
houses of many poor children studying in our schools have lost their books and other stationary.”
Fr. Simon, Sisters of the Religious of Jesus and Mary, some people from his Parish Youth Group, and Parish council
visited some of these areas. They were able to distribute food packages and tents. Right now people do not have shelter and are living in tents on the roads. The basic needs are food, shelter, medicines, uniforms and stationary for the
students, Bibles, and warm clothes because the weather is changing.”
If you would like to help Fr. Simon’s parish please send your donation to the Parish Office with a note. All funds will
be wired directly to Fr. Simon.
