PRACTICAL PROCESS ORCHESTRATION
AND THE INTERNET OF THINGS
Led by: Derek Wood - SAP Technical Architect & Director, Kamoeba (Pty) Ltd
This workshop provides an introduction to the Internet of Things, a type of computing
characterised by small, often dumb, usually unseen computers attached to objects.
These devices sense and transmit data about the environment or offer new means of
controlling it. Learn why it is important and how it relates to SAP. We will talk about
HANA, Process Orchestration, Operational Process Intelligence and Solution Manager.
We will use the SAP NetWeaver infrastructure provided to create a distributed
application that interacts with the environment around us. This is a hands-on session
but will provide opportunities for non-techies to be involved as well.
