Welcome to Worship this Sunday morning! Pastor Mark will be
leading us in the study of God’s Word. A trained Prayer Servant will be
honored to pray with you by the church organ after the service. Join us at
5:30 p.m. as Pastor Mark leads our teaching time.
Join us Wednesday Night for Heights Nights! On the menu is chili and
baked potatoes by Nancy De Weerdt and Golden Heighters. There will be a
quick meal for Adventure Team at 5:50 before they leave at 6:15 for the
Fun Pumpkin outing. Our kids programs begin at 6:45, and our adult
classes start at 7:00 p.m. On Wednesday, from 6:45-7:00 we welcome
Brian Turnbull, our missionary in Seattle, here to speak to us during the
Wednesday Night dessert time!
Bible Club started last week! There is a signup sheet on the Kiosk for
bringing in snacks and sandwiches for the kids! We have lost a few
excellent helpers and are looking for more help! Call Marcia Steeby for
more information at 392-5336.
EDGE will be heading to Grand Rapids on Saturday, November 1 for some
indoor rock climbing! Vans will be leaving church at 9:30 a.m. and returning
in the early afternoon. Please bring a sack lunch or money for a lunch out.
Student need to sign up on our Facebook page by Sunday, October 26 in
order to be a part of the fun. Please contact Joel with any questions.
Golden Heighters: We have the responsibility to help prepare and
serve the Wednesday Night dinner on October 15th. Kindly sign up if
you are willing to help.
Mission Emphasis Week is coming in November. Please prayerfully
consider what you might pledge for Faith Promise (to support our
missionaries). Our Year-to-Date total for Faith Promise is $17,510.
Silent Praise is starting up again! New members are welcome-no prior
knowledge of sign language is needed. We’ll be meeting Tuesdays,
at 7:00 p.m. All ages are welcome!
Interested in joining the choir? Rehearsal are Sundays at 4:30 p.m.!
The Wednesday Night Prayer Group is going to be reading
“Experiencing God’s Presence-Learning to Listen While You Pray” by
Linda Evans Shepherd as well as spending time in prayer. We would
love to have you join us. Contact Dawn Ward if you would like a book.
Don’t forget to turn in your Jubilee pledge slips! There is a box on
the Jubilee table where you can place your slips, or you can put them in
the offering plate. Our pledges so far are $55,620.
The Annual MITTEN-PLUS DRIVE is coming soon, this will be our 31st
year! We will again need mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, slippers,
sweaters, etc. in ALL sizes, childrens and adults. All items must be new!
Items we collect from this drive go directly to our Heights of Hope
neighbors. Please consider now what you can contribute. Items will be
collected on the table in the narthex by the kitchen. Thanks
Our EDGE Group is in need of MEALS again this semester for their
meeting time. The dates that they need meals are November 9 and
December 14. There is a sign up sheet and more information on the
Kiosk. Please contact the office if you have any questions!
