We’re lucky to have excellent schools, beautiful parks and playgrounds and a great library, most within walking distance. We share our home with a dog named Angus and several very sweet cats — Gizmo, Joey and Miss Kitty. Cousin Vanessa and Angus are waiting for another playmate! FUN TIMES We enjoy spending time at our cabin in upstate New York and we picture ourselves with our little one in tow pointing out the many varieties of trees and the small animal wildlife that inhabits the area. Michael loves to fish and is eager to see our child to reel in their first big catch. We enjoy walks in the snow and making snow angels and are excited to see our child’s delight at the first snow fall! We also like to have movie nights at home, ride our bikes, and work in the garden. Michael especially enjoys growing his own vegetables and is looking forward to sharing his secret gardening techniques with our child. Soon friendship blossomed into romance and we knew we were meant to be together. Sharing common goals, values, and religious beliefs are very important to us and we wish to share them with our child. She has always enjoyed direct patient care, especially patient education. Michael works in a hemodialysis unit and he is very fond of his elderly patients. We both work evenings right now, but since Denise has a very flexible schedule, she’s looking forward to reducing her hours and working during the day so there will be no need for daycare! Michael is eager to teach our child how to ice-skate or play hockey as he did for his nephews when they were young. We can’t wait to watch our baby take his or her first step and say their first word. We eagerly await reading bedtime stories to our little one and teaching him or her the ABCs and about the world around us! MICHAEL, Through Denise’s eyes Michael makes me laugh at just the right times! He is loving and playful, but one of the qualities I love most about Michael is his compassion. I remember the moment I fell in love with him. He was talking to an elderly patient, comforting him as he was about to have surgery and Michael placed a blanket on him. His caring and concern was so obvious. He is my best friend and my love for him grows everyday. DENISE, Through Michael’s eyes When I see Denise’s smile it makes me melt inside! Denise truly cares about others and will always take the time to help someone in need, no questions asked. She loves children, is especially wonderful with babies and has a great deal of experience working with newborns and infants.
