Common Core Standards:
● Read and comprehend informational texts about history/social
studies.
● Use text evidence from to support analysis of primary and
secondary source materials.
Instruction:
● Focus on developing a better understanding of U.S. History from
Industrialization into the New Millennium
● Units of Study: Industry and the Progressives, WWI, The Roaring 20’
s, The Great Depression and WWII, The 50’s and 60’s (the Baby
Boom, Vietnam, Civil Rights Movement), The Cold War, The New
Millennium, US Constitution
● US and Illinois Constitution tests to be completed by scholars at the
end of Trimester 3
