Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology was established in the year 1998 and is one of the nineteen Educational Institutions sponsored and run by Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education. It is an autonomous and permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The college offers 7 under graduate courses in Engineering and Post Graduation courses in 6 branches including MBA and MCA. Civil Engineering was started in 2008. All eligible programs are accredited by NBA. PVPSIT is located in the historic city of Vijayawada on the banks of river Krishna in the coastal area Andhra Pradesh. The city is a large commercial centre and famous for Goddess Kanaka Durga temple located on the Indrakiladri hills. The city is well connected by road, exchange of knowledge among the upcoming Engineers/Students of various Technical Institutions 10 km from our Institute. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Civil Engineering Department was started in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 and affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada. It has well equipped Laboratories and is assisted with very rich qualified and experienced faculty. The department has already organized 2 workshops, 2 National level seminars, 1 National level conference. Many organizations develop a management plan or system to implement, manage and maintain environmental goals. Developments observed in the late twentieth century make it imperative that environmental management should accurately comprehend. Such developments include but are not limited to global pollution, loss of bio diversity, soil degradation and urban sprawl.
