- KAPPA SIGMA -
Our strength lies in our diversity; no one label could ever capture the essence of Kappa Sigma. Our house currently boasts a
number of varsity and club athletes, Sierra Camp counselors, members of Stanford Finance, Stanford Environmental Consulting, tutors, savage men, and musicians to name a few. To name one, the lead rapper for Vance Brown. The campus reps
for Rockstar, Perfect Pull Up, Perfect Push Up, and Gatorade also all reside at yours truly. Now that’s G. The Beta Zeta
Chapter of Kappa Sigma was founded at Stanford University in 1899. Since that date, Kappa Sigs have been characterized by
their enthusiasm, academic excellence, commitment to the community, and leadership.
As a Kappa Sig you’ll have the opportunity to live at a great location on campus, with more than 50 of your closest friends,
enjoying a social life comparable to none at Stanford. Want to live in a two-room double? Good. Sand volleyball? We got it.
Shark tank? Check. Have you ever heard of a “Killerspin Cyclone” ping-pong table? You have now.
Kappa Sigma is also the only house on the row with breakfast to order five days a week. In addition, with its strong emphases on academic excellence and community service, Kappa Sigma has proved a catalyst for Stanford men to become outstanding gentlemen, respected professionals, freedom fighters, and well-rounded individuals. In recent years Kappa Sigma
alumni have graduated to some of the world’s most prestigious firms, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, McKinsey,
In N Out, and Google, in addition to renowned service organizations such as Teach for America. Our alumni have also continued their studies at elite graduate schools as well as Oxford University under the Rhodes Scholarship program.
Throughout day-to-day life, Kappa Sigma always has something to offer. We have competitive teams in many of the offered
intramural sports, including football, volleyball, croquet, and an outstanding D-1 basketball team. We host several of the
campus’ biggest parties including our traditional favorites, Luau and Foam, as well as some newcomers to our line-up, including Crunk Christmas and Eurotrash. We also participate in great off-campus events like Bay-to-Breakers, Cable Car
Night and formals in San Francisco. Kappa Sigs actively take part in various community service events, such as Homeless
Breakfast with Pi Phi, Habitat for Humanity, Garden-a-thons in the Bay Area with Kappa, and local tutoring. Kappa Sigma is
like Kix cereal: kid tested, mother approved.
