2 FALL PREMIER XX SALE
Welcome to our 20th Fall Premier Sale. This fall sale has always been a highlight of our year and it’s hard to believe
20 years have passed so quickly. As I look back I know we couldn’t have had that many successful sales with out loyal customers, great friends, and a supportive family.
We are so fortunate to be able to make a living in the cattle business and to be able to do what we love. This cattle
market is at an all time high and the experts say with current cattle inventories and the demand for beef our future is
bright. In high markets I firmly believe the good ones are the cheapest investment you can make.
Buck Cattle Co and our customers have a had another incredible year. We had a great run at the majors right on
through the Junior Nationals. Many of these Champions were produced here, but several of them were produced by our
customers out of females they had purchased here. That’s what it’s all about!!
Like everyone says this is our best set ever. We are extremely excited about this sale offering. They represent our top
cut plus many hand selected females from our customers. We believe they are the right kind to win in the showring and
become great cows. The mature females selling are outstanding. Many of them have been in our embryo transplant program and have proved what they can do. Just come take a look I feel sure you will be impressed.
I am not going to go into details here but we are not selling any Maine cows in this sale this year due to our December
6th cow sale. I will promise you two things. 1) We will be selling a great set of cows in December including basically all
our mature Maine-Anjou cows. 2) We are NOT getting out of the Maine-Anjou business. Yes, we will be depending on
our customers to raise more of our sale heifers for a couple of years while we build back our numbers.
Our Fall Online Bull Sale will be November 4th on Breeders World. You are welcome to take a look at those bulls on
sale day. It’s a powerful set of bulls representing both breeds with a couple of special club calf sires included.
We have been fortunate in years past to have some very successful sales but, there are always several great buys and
trust me there will be cattle for sale in everyone’s price range.
Customer service comes with every lot and when you buy here it is part of the deal. If we can assist you with preparing for shows, making breeding decisions, or marketing decisions don’t hesitate to give us a call.
We will be hosting our annual Judging Contest again this year, it will begin on Saturday at 7:30 AM at the Red Barn
on the north side of Highway 70, just north of the ranch. There will be 4H/FFA, Junior College, and Senior College
Divisions. We won’t be taking reasons it will be questions only, with the awards presented at the sale. And, we are very
excited to welcome Sure Champ as our judging contest sponsor again this year!
I am blessed with great family and friends, but this operation could not function without great help. I would like to
thank Matt Scasta, Todd Herman, and Seth Buckley for their dedication to our program. We couldnot do it with out
them.
We invite everyone to be with us for this event whether you are looking to make a purchase or just to view the offering. Plan on joining us for a great lunch provided Martindale Feed and EMCO and a special thank you to the ones who
prepare it Don Kendrick, Emmett Byrd, Max Runyan, Donnie Hartin, Ann Hartin, and their crews. They are awesome
cooks.
You are welcome to view this offering any time prior to the sale and on sale day. If you have any questions or need
assistance feel free to contact us. We look forward to seeing you October 18th.
Thanks for your interest,
Jirl

Here is a true breeding piece. Jerry Gibson has always preached that there’s not a better female
than a true F1 Maine. I’d say you can look long and hard and you won’t find another direct
Cunia daughter selling this fall anywhere!!
Her sire, Cunia, was born in 1969 and is a true legend in the Maine breed. For those of us that
remember, the Cunia females were outstanding. They had body, power, look, milk and
soundness.
Jerry Gibson created this female by using a modern day, deep soggy, good looking purebred
Angus female and breeding her with 40 year old Cunia semen. She is an outcross to the
leading sires of today and is sure to be a leading donor.
