December 2013 Newsletter Happy Winter?! Well, ok, so it’s not quite here, but it’s coming soon! Please make sure your child(ren) have appropriate clothing for the weather. We try to have hats, scarfs, mittens, etc… available, but we don’t always have enough to go around. Harvest Meal Simone and Kathy’s class pulled off the harvest meal just as planned – no hitches at all! Well, ok, Murphy’s Law held sway, but they still did a fantastic job providing a wonderful meal including everything from salad to moose stew, and everything in between! Great job, kids (and teachers!). Accomplishments! The kids all voted on the best cover design for the yearbook – Tiffany won! Yeah Tiffany! The doghouse is done! Great job class! Our craft and bake table at the Nazarene Church’s craft fair was a great success. The kids earned over $200 toward the cost of producing the yearbook. Fantastic!!!! K-6 For the next 6 months will be doing “Book-It” with Pizza Hut. Please see your child’s teacher if you have questions on how you can help them reach their goals and win their prizes! Thank you!!!! We’ve started receiving donations toward our aquaponic greenhouse, and want to be sure to thank those who will be helping us to make the project possible. The Excelsior Grange has always been a great supporter for our school, and we really appreciate your interest in the project. Thank you for your donation! Many people know the name of Bob Bahre, but maybe not that he has supported us in the past, as well as in this project. Thanks again, Bob! We also received a donation of 20 laptops(!) from Procter and Gamble this past week. What a fantastic help they will be in the classrooms once we get operating systems put onto them. Thank you! Bob’s Corner As you have likely heard, Bob is no longer with us; he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
