MOSEDALVEJ SHARED APARTMENTS

The UCPH Housing Foundation has rented 5 shared apartments on four different floors of the
building on Mosedalvej which is in Valby. Students share the bathroom and kitchen. They are
situated close to Copenhagen Zoo and close to beautiful green areas such as Søndermarken Park.
The apartments are furnished and there is access to common facilities such as a courtyard and
washing facilities. Internet is included in the rent.
Maintenance and inspection at Mosedalvej Apartments: Should go through UCPH Housing
Foundation. Available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 am – 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm – 3:00
pm. Wednesday: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Friday: 10 am – 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. In case
of emergency outside these office hours, please contact inspector André Cichanowicz. Cell phone:
2656 5963. Email: [email protected]. André should not be contacted about minor
problems like fuses or bulbs that need changed, regular cleaning of drains, new bags for the
vacuum cleaner etc. To the extent possible, please respect Andre’s evening/night time privacy
as well over the weekends.
The inspector will not see to minor problems; like the cleaning of drains for hair etc. (for this you
may use ‘afløbsrens’ which can be bought at any supermarket); the changing of light bulbs (regular
40w or 60w may be bought at any supermarket as well); or the defrosting of freezers (you must
remove all food and turn it off overnight while leaving old towels in the bottom to soak up the
excess water). If you do contact the inspector about such a ‘minor problem’ before having tried to
solve it yourself, you may be charged a fee.
Trash
Trash should be carried straight to the respective areas for dumping; this is most often in the back
court yard of the building. No garbage should be placed in the hallways, stairwells, or in the
basement of the building; your deposit will be reduced if the inspector needs to remove
garbage on your behalf.
Mail pick-up
Please put your name on your door and in particular on your mailbox, otherwise you will not
receive your mail.
Shopping
You can find a Netto supermarket at Toftegårds Allé 30, Vigerslevvej 216, and Roskildevej 158 in
Valby. The shopping center ‘Spinderiet’ by Valby Station houses many shops and supermarkets.
Valby Langgade also houses many specialty shops, cafes and restaurants.
Transportation
Frederiksberg Campus: There is a bus running from Valby Langgade to Frederiksberg Allé: Bus 26.
Get off at Frederiksberg Alle/ Madvigs Allé and walk 5 minutes to Frederiksberg campus. Also,
Bus 18 runs from Valby Station (5 minutes from residence) and goes by Søndre Fasanvej all the
way up what will become Falconer Allé. Get off at Frederiksberg Centret (by Frederiksberg Metro
Station) and walk 5 minutes to Frederiksberg Campus (through the quiet pathway which runs in the
back). Bus 18 will also take you to Nørre campus – get off at Jagtvej.
