SØBORG SHARED APARTMENTS

UCPH Housing Foundation has rented four shared apartments on four different floors of the
building on Søborg Hovedgade which is in Søborg. Students share the bathroom and kitchen. The
apartments are furnished and there is access to common facilities such as washing facilities. Internet
is included in the rent.
Maintenance and inspection at Søborg Hovedgade Shared Apartments: Should go through
UCPH Housing Foundation. Available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 am – 12:00 noon and
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Wednesday: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Friday: 10 am – 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm –
3:00 pm. In case of emergency outside these office hours, please contact inspector André
Cichanowicz. Cell phone: 2656 5963. Email: [email protected]. André should not be
contacted about minor problems like fuses or bulbs that need changed, regular cleaning of
drains, new bags for the vacuum cleaner etc. To the extent possible, please respect Andre’s
evening/night time privacy as well over the weekends.
The inspector will not see to minor problems; like the cleaning of drains for hair etc. (for this you
may use ‘afløbsrens’ which can be bought at any supermarket); the changing of light bulbs (regular
40w or 60w may be bought at any supermarket as well); or the defrosting of freezers (you must
remove all food and turn it off overnight while leaving old towels in the bottom to soak up the
excess water). If you do contact the inspector about such a ‘minor problem’ before having tried to
solve it yourself, you may be charged a fee.
Trash
Trash should be carried straight to the respective areas for dumping; this is most often in the back
court yard of the building. No garbage should be placed in the hallways, stairwells, or in the
basement of the building; your deposit will be reduced if the inspector needs to remove
garbage on your behalf.
Mail pick-up
Please put your name on your door and in particular on your mailbox, otherwise you will not
receive your mail.
Shopping
On Søborg Hovedgade 65-67 you will find a discount supermarket Netto and on Søborg Hovedgade
66 you will find a Fakta supermarket, both within a 10 minute walk.
Transportation
By foot you will be able to reach Vangede Station within 15 minutes from where you can take the
S-train to the center of Copenhagen. Different bus lines go by Søborg Hovedgade such as 6A which
can take you to Copenhagen Central Station. For Nørre Campus you catch bus 6A towards
Nørreport Station and get off at Arresøgade and walk the last 5 minutes. For Frederiksberg Campus
you can take bus 6A to Nørreport Station and from there take the metro and get off at Frederiksberg
Station and walk the last bit of the way.
