Support Services
for Students:
Visa requiring students will receive a registration
letter once their fees have been paid in full.
Insurance: European students should bring their
EHIC (European Health Insurance Card). This
gives students free access to emergency hospital
care – Visits to doctors are either free or can be
reimbursed. CEW can organise medical insurance for
students from outside the EU.
Immigration registration: visa requiring students
will be given a letter from the school for immigration
so that they can get their Garda National
Immigration Bureau card (GNIB).
Bank Account: if students wish to open a bank
account, CEW helps them with the relevant
paperwork needed in the local banks.
PPS number: students who wish to work in
Ireland need to apply for a PPS number. CEW
issues a letter to apply for this number and will
tell them how to obtain one.
Honestly, this is the first language
course that she’s been on that

she’s been on many.

Courses are held at all levels from A1 to C2.
• The Academic Manager closely monitors the progress of the
students by communicating with the tutors on a daily basis. Students

Academic Programme
● 15/20 hours per week
● 25 Week Course
● 25 Week Holiday Period
This course is for students who wish to follow an
Academic Programme leading to the IELTS examination
– International English Language Testing System that
gives you a score on a band of 1 to 9 – 6.5 being the
required level to enter most university programmes
world-wide.
This programme is especially suited to non-EU students
who want to work while studying in Ireland.
On the Academic programme, students are registered
as full-time students and they are able to work up to
20 hours per week and full-time during their holiday
time.
Students are tested at the start of the course and
if their level is not high enough to start the IELTS
preparation class, they will be placed in General English
classes until they are at the required B1 level.
Thank you for the quality of
the course, I am more than
happy with my IELTS score.
Each student matters to you
and that’s what makes CEW
different.
Bia, Brazil
The IELTS exam takes place several times a year and
students are given any help they need in registering.
